As they read, students will identify specific evidence, think about what they already know about the topic, and make evidence-based valid inferences. Some of the graphic organizers include sections where students are asked to provide explanations/analysis of details.

This resource includes 3 sets of 4 Inference Graphic Organizers (totaling 12 Inference Graphic Organizers). The sets are completely differentiate in a variety of ways to ensure that you are able to meets the needs of all level learners in your classroom.

The four graphic organizers in this set require students to 1) cite important evidence, 2) discuss their prior knowledge (what they already know about the topic), and then 3) make an inference. The four graphic organizers are created as follows:

• Format #1: contains 4 rows of clouds (allows for 4 inferences)
• Format #2: contains 3 rows of clouds (allows for 3 inferences)
• Format #3: contains 2 rows of clouds (allows for 2 inferences)
• Format #4: contains 1 huge cloud (allows for 1 inference)

This product comes with 14 different response sheets-students can complete a response sheet after each chapter or after several chapters. These response sheets are ideal for Literature Circles, Independent Read, Homework, etc. Each response sheet focuses on different concepts that are aligned with Common Core. Below are suggestions for the use of the Chapter Book Response Sheets:

Literature Circles- Students can use the response sheet after each chapter or every couple of chapters. The concepts covered can be used as discussion pieces during Literature Circle.
