This is one of my favorite activities that I do with my students and they love it!

This activities works on multiple reading skills such as higher level thinking, reading, sight words, different reading strategies, spelling, and many others. There is enough jokes for 25 days. To Play:

Step 1: The students read the words in the joke and you click on the words to

underline them.

Step 2: Students guess letters in the answer to the joke.

Step 3: You click on the letter that the students say. It will disappear from the

bottom and fill in if it is located in the answer.

Step 4: You continue until the students figure out all the words in the answer.

If a student figures out any of the words I will go ahead and click the letters in the word they figured out.

It makes a great mini book when printed four to a page, cut apart, and then stapled together as a quarter page sized book! This power point about 17 different nonfiction text features (including two for the internet) is fully editable, meaning you can alter the text to fit your lessons, as well as scan and insert your own images instead of the ones I used, if you wanted to do so. In addition, you can easily delete the slides you don’t want, or duplicate a slide, then change the text / images to add different text features that you want to cover in your classroom. This dinosaur file has two Power Points and you can also use them as flashcards to print. Students will be able to show prior knowledge using pictures and also learn about dinosaur facts they didn't already know with created sentences. You can also write these sentences on sentence strips to match to pictures. This is great for any Elementary classroom or ESL class. You can use many ESL strategies to teach these dinosaur facts. The second part is about dinosaur body parts using the T Rex, Stegosaurus, and Anklysaurus. You can add to and remove slides as you feel necessary.

¿Quién no ama los clásicos juegos de mesa? Esta es una adaptación navideña de uno de ellos. Tira los dados y mueve tu ficha. Intenta ser el primero en llegar exactamente a la casilla 36 y no caer en las bombas ya que te harán retroceder. Si aterrizas al comienzo de las flechas avanzarás muchas casillas. Si aterrizas en el primer sombrero, te llevará al segundo sombrero, pero si aterrizas en el segundo, te llevará de regreso al primero. No es necesario saberse las reglas pues al caer en una de estas casillas se activará automáticamente la animación que mueva tu ficha al lugar que le corresponda.

Pueden jugar de 1 a 4 jugadores o grupos de jugadores. Mi consejo es dividir la clase en 2, 3 o 4 grupos. Después de cada movimiento de la ficha, trata de responde uno de los 94 acertijos que aparecerán aleatoriamente al hacer clic en las cartas de preguntas. Cada grupo dará su respuesta por consenso y el grupo que la acierte, o que más se acerque a su respuesta correcta, será el que continúe el juego tirando los dados nuevamente. Si el acertijo es demasiado difícil para el nivel de su grupo, vuelva a hacer clic en las tarjetas de preguntas y saldrá una nueva.

Los acertijos son editables y, por lo tanto, se pueden cambiar con preguntas de las lecciones que se está dando, pero no elimine los cuadros de texto si no desea eliminar sus animaciones.
