3rd Grade Special Education Games

Are you looking for an easy way to improve student behaviors? This is a fun, easy, print and go activity.

I use the secret missions with my students. Simply print the packet, cut out, and post the missions in your room (be sure to cover each mission with a "secret mission" card".

Then the magic begins. Each morning during your morning meeting time chose a kiddo to uncover a mission. Discuss the mission, the importance of it, what it looks like. I generally have a secret task force who also watches for the behaviors. Then when your children are "caught" they earn a party point/tally/ball (whatever reinforcer you use) for your class. Currently my kids are working to earn hot chocolate with toppings.

Shape Matching File Folder

Game - Rainbow

Themed:

This is a great file folder game for your students. There’s two pages of each set of shapes. Print one out, laminate it, and attach it to the file folder. Cut out the second page of rainbow shapes (the pages with a border around each separate rainbow) and laminate them as well.

The sides that are meant for the file folder part have circles on the front where you can attach velcro dots to the activity and then attach velcro dots to the opposite side of the rainbow cards to make it easier for students to match the correct shapes together.

This Bingo game is a great game to support students with key summer themed words. This is a great game for a whole class approach or center activities.

This bingo game includes the following summer themed words:

Ball, crab, dolphin, goggles, flower, hat, sun, lighthouse, ice-cream, towel, mosquito, watermelon, umbrella, yacht, ice-block and waves.

With this interactive scavenger hunt students will learn fun and interesting Hanukkah related facts like: Did you know Hanukkah is also known as the festival of lights? Or Did you know there is 16 different ways to spell Hanukkah? The scavenger hunt includes 18 fact cards and asks students to read the cards closely for information to fill in the answer sheets. This super sight word game is a great way to get your little super heroes excited about reading! Game cards include pre-primer, primer, first grade, and second grade Dolch sight words, each marked for easy differentiation based on level. Download, print, laminate, and cut the cards and spinner. Students will spin and land on a number (one or two to practice as many words as possible). Some spaces say "draw 2." That means the student will draw and read two cards. On "action" spaces, you get to choose what the student can do. Use these spaces as an extra turn, lose a turn, or a battle! In a battle, each student can choose a card and attempt to read it. Any card read is kept; cards read incorrectly will return to the pile. Clip art in the game is from Krista Wallden with Creative Clips.
