How can you use these task cards?

⭐Have the task cards available in makerspaces, centers, tubs, busy boxes, morning baskets, as a reward, or available for early finishers to complete using ANY available materials. Students can even draw their creations instead of building them!

⭐Use one card or slide a day during morning time. Have students fill out a STEAM / STEM worksheet or slide, and discuss as a class.

⭐Use them for public speaking practice. Allow students to build and then show and tell with the class or their parents. They can discuss what they made, liked, what they would improve, and how it solved the problem on the task cards. They can practice speaking and listening skills, using loud and clear voices, and giving full attention to the speaker. Encourage students to ask questions to their classmates.

⭐Ideally the goal is to do one challenge a day, but you could certainly allow students to do more than one!

Directions for Use:

Print:

2. Print one recording sheet per student.

Activity Directions:

1. Place task cards with questions around the room.

2. Provide each student with a recording sheet.

3. Explain the activity: students will move around the room, read each task card, and write their answers on the corresponding boxes on their recording sheets.

Tips:

A basic Complete the patterns minimalist sheet that will definitely help you manage Unifix cubes math centers. It is perfect for students who have begun learning about patterns and may need some encouragement or to practice patterns independently. This math pattern activity is easy to prep and easy for your students.

Nb: When printed these worksheets on 8.5"x11" paper it matched 10/12 Unifix cubes stacked (Each square is approximately 18mmx18mm, 0.71 "x 0.71").

How to use this resource:

It is perfect for students who have begun learning about patterns and may need some encouragement or to practice patterns independently. This math pattern activity is easy to prep and easy for your students.

Nb: When printed these worksheets on 8.5"x11" paper it matched 10/12 Unifix cubes stacked (Each square is approximately 18mmx18mm, 0.71 "x 0.71").

How to use this resource:
