These organizers align with the skill of identifying literary elements or parts of a story. Students will be able to idenitify the characters, setting, beginning, middle, end, problem and solution. I created them with the language proficiency levels of ENL students in mind. They can support beginner/entering level to advanced/commanding ELLs! With 3 levels to choose from, your students will be able to identify literary elements in no time!

This unit is a highly engaging and comprehensive unit that allows your students to respond to a story by using a wide range of reading comprehension strategies and skills. The unit includes a comprehension follow up and an extra literacy task for each chapter.

With comprehension questions and activities for each chapter, students will cover many of the Grades 4, and 5 and 6 ELA Common Core State Standards in context.
