Halloween Around the World Scavenger Hunt- Escape the Haunted House (No Prep!)
By Miss Yous Clues and Resources
This is a scavenger hunt using task cards that analyzes Halloween traditions or similar holidays that occur around the world.
This resource begins by challenging students with a mission, escape the haunted house that they are trapped in. Check out the preview to see what each task card entails. Students will need to walk around the room reading the task cards. Each task card has a code word on the bottom which is the answer to the question/fill in the blank. The answer will NOT be found on that same task card. For example, the answer to task card #1 is found by reading the passage on task card #6. Students MUST record which task card they found the answer on in their answer sheet under the “FOUND CARDS #” column. That column will be used at the end for the 4 digit lock code. They will follow the clues to find the correct 4 digit code. Once they have completed the scavenger hunt they will receive a half sheet of paper stating that they have successfully escaped the haunted house!
This activity would be a great as a center activity, a group activity, a holiday activity on or near Halloween, etc. Students will be engaged with the learning while having a fun time trying to solve all of the clues!
Halloween Escape Room (Origins, Symbols and Traditions)
By Miss Yous Clues and Resources
This engaging Halloween escape room activity combines the thrill of gamified learning with important close reading skills. Students start by reading an informative passage, which they will refer back to while completing four unique challenges. Each challenge emphasizes a different close reading skill:
As students complete each task, they collect a one-digit number. Once they have all four digits, they solve the final puzzle to complete the escape room!
Designed to keep students excited and focused, this activity encourages critical thinking and close reading practice in a fun, interactive way. This versatile resource is perfect for independent work, group activities, or engaging early finishers, helping reinforce reading comprehension and critical thinking while embracing the spooky holiday theme.

Differentiated Christmas Math Mystery- Mrs. Claus is Missing! (4th Grade)
By Miss Yous Clues and Resources
This product is a differentiated math mystery that is aligned with the 4th-grade Engage NY/Eureka math curriculum and focuses on prime/composite numbers, factors, multiples, long division and multi digit multiplication. It includes a scenario explaining what the problem is- Mrs. Claus is missing. The product has a suspect list of 10 people (students should recognize many of the characters from movies and books!), and 5 clues that narrow down the suspect list to just one person. Each clue has a worksheet A & B and an answer key for all worksheets. Worksheet A for each clue aligns with the standards but at a lower level for students who struggle with this skill. Worksheet B is a more challenging version for higher-level students to offer enrichment. Worksheets A & B look the same; they have the same appearance clues and the letters are in the same spot on the equations. This allows students to work on the same assignment but at their instructional level to allow for more confidence and success. Or, mix and match between the worksheets to use which one best suits the needs of your class to use as whole group instruction. Review math skills in a fun and engaging way this holiday season!
