In this lesson, students learn fun facts about volcanoes as they complete a WebQuest (Internet Scavenger Hunt) to answer questions about the topic. A complete answer key is provided for easy grading, along with resources for both teachers and students. In the final lesson your class will need to check their draft paragraphs for mistakes before writing up their work on a neat copy using the template provided.

This is a biography writing unit about the famous English scientist, Isaac Newton. The unit is ideal for fifth grade and sixth grade and has been split into four separate lessons which will take students approximately 40-50 minutes each.

The Google Slides activity is ideal for distance learning and perfect for students in 5th grade or 6th grade learning about science, or famous figures.

In the second lesson the children need to use these facts to type four paragraphs. Then, in the third lesson they need to choose the most important facts and include these in an introduction; after this they need to answer several questions before typing up their conclusion. In the final lesson your class will need to check their draft paragraphs before typing up their work on to the template provided.
