I know how crazy supply drop off/meet the teacher/open house can be for a teacher. A few years ago I created stations to guide my parents and students around my room to drop off their supplies. I also used this for parents at Open House night to again guide them before my presentation. You can use these posters and labels for multiple purposes. Giving warning after verbal warning can be frustrating for both the teacher and the student. It can also be easy to lose track of how many warnings each student was given. A think sheet is a great way to give students a more firm warning, and also have a follow up discussion after the fact about strategies a student can use to avoid making the same mistakes. A detention sheet may be needed at times, and this form features the opportunity for students to take responsibility for their behavior and reflect on ways to do better.

Both forms feature a student-led format, encouraging students to be accountable for their actions. The detention sheet includes a space for parents to sign and return as well for documentation purposes.
