I use this sheet to easily grade Interactive Notebooks. Instead of flipping through page after page of 100+ student notebooks, I have students fill out a notebook check sheet with the assignments, dates and page numbers. When I grade an assignment (or 2-3 at a time), I write the grade down on the sheet. Don’t you want your students to have the opportunity to see baby chickens and ducks hatch? It is hard to incubate eggs in the classroom. It is messy, it can be distracting for the kids, and once the birds hatch you have to figure out what to do with them! This resource allows your students to see every step of the incubation process without all the hassle. 4. Class Compliments: Set a goal for the class, such as being respectful to each other or completing assignments on time. When the class achieves the goal, they get a compliment from the teacher and a reward, such as extra recess time.
5. Team Points: Divide the class into teams and award points for positive behavior. The team with the most points at the end of the week gets a reward, such as a pizza party or movie day.
