Desert Island Explorer is an engaging, two-week game-based sub unit designed for grades 5 to 9, offering an immersive and bilingual experience centered around the theme of desert islands. Primary French Speaking Prompts: 100 Question Cards for Discussion

Use this set of primary French speaking prompt cards to get even your most timid students talking to each other in French.

This no prep activity is perfect for small groups or centers. You can also use the powerpoint version to make it a whole class activity. These speaking cards are perfect for FRENCH IMMERSION or CORE FRENCH. You can easily use these cards as a review with French students at any level (even high school).

This resource is part of my Primary French Growing Bundle!

Included: 100 speaking prompts (color and black and white copies provided), Powerpoint presentation version to project to the whole class and / or modify as desired.

There are many ways you can use this set of 100 speaking cards:

➤ Print, laminate, cut out, punch holes & attach on a ring for small groups to ask and answer questions.

➤ Project the powerpoint showing questions to the whole class and have them answer the questions with a neighbor.

➤ Use as a warm-up speaking activity with a conversation buddy. As students enter the classroom have them choose 2-3 cards from a box.

➤ Students who finish their work earlier than others can choose a few of the cards and write out their answers.

➤ Use as exit tickets. Give each student a card before the end of class and as they walk out of the room they tell the teacher their answer.

➤ Stations: Put students into groups and divide the cards amongst them. Have groups rotate to a new station as they finish the cards.

➤ Scoot: Put one card on each desk in the classroom. Give each student a response sheet and set a timer to give them just enough time to answer the question. When the timer rings students move on to the next desk and the next question.

➤ Use the cards with board games. Students must answer a question in order to move.

➤ Use the cards as a getting to know you activity.

Use fortune tellers / cootie catchers to have students practice telling time in French using 12 and 24 hour clocks. Your students already love them, and fortune tellers are a perfect activity for reviewing this important skill at any time of the year.

This resource includes 5 fortune tellers for saying the time in French and instructions on how to use the activity and fold the paper. See the preview for a sneak peak. If you'd like to print in black and white, have your students color in the circles you see. I've left a white space in the center of each circle for this purpose.

French Verb Savoir + Infinitive - Games and Activities BUNDLE

1. Le jeu des sept familles - This classic card game is fun for students of all ages! This version is for practicing the SAVOIR + INFINITIVE to say you know how to do something. Each of the 7 "families of cards" begins with one of the following, and conjugations in the present tense are used in the JE - TU - IL - NOUS - VOUS - ILS forms:

• Je sais + infinitive
• Je ne sais pas + infinitive
• Est-ce que je sais + infinitive

2. Beginner level Dots & Boxes - An easy and fun no-prep game that will elicit a lot of exposure and pronunciation for the target vocabulary and grammar when teaching savoir + infinitive! The following constructions are used: JE SAIS / SAIS-TU / JE NE SAIS PAS

The following infinitives are used in both games: CHANTER - NAGER - DESSINER - ÉCRIRE - DANSER - LIRE - COURIR.

3. Intermediate level Dots & Boxes - The following construction is used: SAIS-TU...? 60 different infinitives are used in this version of the game.
