These mixed media projects are based on Gustav Klimt’s artwork Tree of Life. Let the metallic colors and vivid imagery inspire your students’ creativity as they explore different materials in these cross-curricular projects.
This lesson is highly engaging, multidisciplinary, and uses a variety of materials that can be modified for what you have on hand. Set up stations and let your students choose a project, rotate through and complete multiple projects, or design their own using these projects as inspiration. This project is designed for upper elementary (3rd-5th grade) students but can be easily adapted for middle school.
