• Divide the class into groups.
• Group members take turns drawing a card from a pile.
• The person who drew a card must not show their team the image or use words to describe it. Ie if it is a you can only use shapes, lines, and location to describe the drawing and cannot say things like, "it forms after the rain."
• The group member describes and gives directions on how to draw the image.

A great Easter activity to reinforce latitude and longitude map skills!

Geographical Theme: Location (Absolute Location)

This enjoyable geography activity is great for your students right before Easter break! We all know how students get excited about holidays! Through this activity, not only will they have fun working together in cooperative groups or teams or individually to solve the puzzle, but they will also have the opportunity to practice reading the latitude and longitude coordinate grid system (absolute location). Each moment is a teaching moment, and this will allow reinforcement of their map reading skills. A great Veteran's Day activity to reinforce map skills!

This fun activity is great for your students on Earth Day! We all know how students get excited on Valentine's Day! Through this activity, not only will they have fun working together or individually to solve the puzzle, but they will have the opportunity to practice reading the latitude and longitude coordinate grid system (absolute location). Each moment is a teaching moment, and this will allow reinforcement of their map reading skills. They will use the absolute locations that are provided on the key and identify the points on the coordinate grid, drawing one line from one point to another. The final product is a photo to color and decorate!
