Based off the hit Windows 3.11 game we all knew and loved, Solfege Sweeper is a progressive game where one slip can end you up on the dreaded mine! This will have your kids reading and mastering solfege in NO TIME! Students will see a grid of 40 squares on the home page. Each square contains either a link to a solfege syllable.... or a mine :) I select one student at a time to pick a number. I'll then click on the number and it'll advance to the designated slide. If it's a solfege syllable, we add that solfege syllable to the Building Board on the home page. The teacher will click "Back to Game and Building Board" and put the solfege syllable they just received on the board. As for the solfege syllable they earned, you can cut out the included syllables (make a bunch of copies!), write them in dry erase, or have a student keep tabs on the side. Students will now sing the solfege syllables back in order. Then we repeat! See how it gets progressive? ;) AND what a great way to do a composition. Heck, you should get your piano involved too! ...until the mine! There are 5 mines in each game, and once the mine is hit, it's GAME OVER! At the end, you can tally up how many syllables the class amassed. Compete against other classes, or themselves! There are 5 files in the pack and each one is completely different (all the syllables are mixed up and of course, so are the mines) Syllables included are DO, MI, SOL, and LA. Have fun with this and let me know if you have any questions by leaving a comment!

So you've finally covered all of the instruments and their respective families! How's about an interactive game where the students identify the instruments in the order they hear them? Look no farther than Instrument Drag n' Drop! Students will listen to the musical examples (some synthesized and some real samples!) and be given 3 instrument choices (some all in the same family, some in different families, and some within the same range). After listening to the musical instruments, students have to put those instruments in the order that they heard them. If you're using an interactive whiteboard, students can drag the instrument to the answer box below after they are finished listening the example. The teacher will then advance the slide to display the correct answer! There are 10 examples included in this lesson along with 10 corresponding sound files. Although designed for an IWB, students can play on personal dry erase boards or can even split the class up boys vs girls, team 1 vs team 2, etc, and have a race to identify the correct answers in the correct order first first. Classroom management in a middle school Core French classroom can be dicey! That's why I engage my students as much as possible to keep em' on their toes! Prof du jour is a part of my everyday routine, where a different student each day is given the opportunity to lead the discussions with their peers and to give them confidence in French. Sit back and watch the magic!

This isn't just a run-of-the-mill calendar! My Prof du jour is at the command desk and interacts with their peers and the Google Slides. Here are some activities that my Grades 4, 5 and 6 students actively use found in this document:

Ce document est conçu pour les élèves qui apprennent la valeur de position et je couvre des unités jusqu'à des millions. J'utilise personnellement ce document avec mes élèves de 5e et 6e année comme révision et comme segway en valeur décimale; cependant, ce serait un excellent point de départ pour l'apprentissage de la valeur de position et des grands nombres en 3e ou 4e année. Comme pour tous mes documents, il n'y a rien de bébé/enfantin, donc ce document fonctionnerait super super bien pour les élèves en adaptation scolaire qui manquent de concepts de leurs années d'école primaire.

Journée du chandail rose!

Cette ressource vous fournira tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour donner à vos élèves des occasions de discussions et de réflexions constructives sur la journée du chandail rose, l'intimidation et la défense les uns des autres. L'objectif principal de ce document est d'amener les élèves à connaître les signes d'intimidation et à savoir qu'ils peuvent être une partie du problème ou une partie de la solution. Grâce à des jeux, des discussions, du travail en équipe et des activités, les élèves se sentiront capables d'aider les autres dans des situations d'intimidation.

Ce document comprend 50 pages de matériel didactique et d'activités imprimables qui conviennent aux élèves du troisième cycle du primaire et d'âge intermédiaire en immersion ou en français (5e à 8e).

Les étudiants ont la possibilité de discuter ou de réfléchir sur des expériences vécues et sont invités à partager avec des partenaires et de petits groupes sur des sujets tels que :

• A simple spin on the classic game of I SPY ("Cherche et trouve" ou "C'est moi l'espion") geared towards Core French/FSL students in which they are first given practice with the structure: "Est-ce que c'est..." and answering the question with the affirmative, "oui, c'est..." or the negative, "non, ce n'est pas..."

• Students are then provided an opportunity to take turns being the spy - using objects in your classroom.

• It also comes with a 11" x 8.5" placemat to laminate (or to project onto your whiteboard/Smartboard) to provide students a visual when playing the game.

• Colors, shapes, textures and prepositional phrases (left, right, on, under, behind) as well as size (big, small) are provided to give your students confidence and the vocabulary needed to make this game a hit!
