Whole class behavior management is a cornerstone of effective teaching, especially in elementary and early middle school settings. The "Include Every Student" strategy offers a comprehensive approach to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment. This method aligns with Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS) principles, emphasizing positive behavior management and creating a supportive learning atmosphere for all students.

Key Components

1. Whole class behavior management

At the heart of the "Include Every Student" strategy is positive behavior management. This approach focuses on recognizing and rewarding positive behaviors rather than solely addressing negative ones. By highlighting and celebrating responsible, respectful, kind, and organized actions, students are motivated to consistently display these behaviors.

2. PBIS Alignment

This strategy integrates seamlessly with PBIS frameworks, making it suitable for schools already implementing these practices. PBIS emphasizes the importance of proactive strategies for defining, teaching, and supporting appropriate student behaviors to create positive school environments. 3. Visual Tracking and Engagement for primary and secondary school
