90 Second Social Studies Famous American Women
By The Magical Avocado
Women's History IS American History! This ready to edit slide presentation has 35 slides highlighting famous American Women. Using during Women's History Month, as daily bellwork, student projects, learning about various times in history, and more!
What is a 90 Second Social Studies Assignment?
90 Second Social Studies Assignments introduce students to a large amount of information in a relatively short amount of time. The 90 second time limit serves as both a way to keep students on task, and to promote the idea of summarizing key details. 90 Second Social Studies Assignments can cover concepts, historical figures, landmarks, and events.
Why does this assignment use Google Slides?
One of the issues with student presentations is the transition time between student presenters. When the presentations are all on the same google slide, transitions become seamless. Google Slides also enables students to work simultaneously on the assignment, and for teachers to observe edits and work in real time.
Using Coping Skills SEL Lesson + Activity
By Erin Cusumano
This lesson teaches about how coping skills work to improve our mental health when practiced. Positive vs. negative coping skills are covered, problem-focused vs. emotion-focused coping skills are distinguished, and how coping skills work to affect thoughts, feelings and actions are all broken down.
If middle and high school students have been in any SEL program before they likely have heard a lot about the importance of coping skills and been instructed to identify their own. So, this lesson aims to help students understand how coping skills affect their mental health to make informed choices when choosing and implementing them. Then, students choose a coping skill to focus on and make a project about. This aims to give students a chance to talk about coping skills using the knowledge provided, instead of passively taking in more information on the topic.
This lesson is a great chance to get students talking with each other about helpful coping skills! The lesson includes a presentation (7 slides), a worksheet (1 pages), and example project (1 page) and a presentation guide (4 pages).
The slides and worksheet are simple to increase comprehension and suit middle through high school students.

WHY BUY THIS?
Aren’t we all a little more engaged when material is presented to us in a fun way? The odds of finding a review game for this specific test on TeachShare are pretty slim, so save the time spent searching for something and create a game yourself.
