There are two pages giving different holidays to research, but you can also write your own holidays in if you would like. Students can use the graphic organizer to help organize their ideas before writing their explanatory essay. 1. Holiday Pages: There are two different pages of holidays from around the globe. One holiday page focuses primarily on holidays in or around December/Christmas. The other holiday page has holidays the span the whole year. Both pages have empty slots for you to fill in any holiday that you like. This activity works well individually and in small groups and would be a great introductory activity (by using inductive reasoning), application, or review activity. Although designed for use in level two, it also makes a great review for Spanish three or four.
