This ready to print and use activity has students analyze cave paintings from Tsodilo Hills Botswana using a Primary Source Analysis format. Perfect for prehistory lessons and understanding primary sources, this acts as as a stand alone lesson or can be expanded to include art, writing, geography skills and more!

This resource includes:

This is very easy for students to put out (or have done ahead of time) and to put in their notebooks for each unit. They are designed so students can color in content related pictures.

Practice research skills with Athens and Sparta:

Research skills are important to learn and practice at this level. This Venn diagram focused on Athens and Sparta engages students in research practice. They will learn about these ancient city-states while practicing their compare and contrast skills.

Teachers will receive links for research sites, one which includes a video. They can share these sites with their students to help guide the research process. Students can then complete the process of research.

Follow up questions can be used for early finishers, as a written assignment, or to begin class discussions. These questions increase rigor and help students make connections.

This opinion writing is a perfect activity for your holiday writing. This is great around Christmas time, but can also be used for any holiday tradition. The students will write about their favorite tradition and why it is their favorite. This gives students practice with stating their opinion and giving 3 reasons why they believe that way. There are 2 graphic organizers included allowing for differentiation for students to write a shorter or longer paper. This activity is a fun way for students to share a little about their holidays and what they enjoy.

Do you start off your class with a quick poll or check-in question? This set of graphics can be used from day one to get students using Spanish. This sampler has 10 different graphics that you can use in Desmos, Nearpod, Peardeck, or on a social media post to get input from your students. Each graphic gives them a choice of two different things. You can use it in different levels by adjusting the task.

Level 1 - from the beginning, you can have them just choose between option A and option B. Get lots of comprehensible input by having a class discussion about who prefers what. Later on, have them write complete sentences starting with "Prefiero..."

Level 2 - have students start to add more detail to their responses. Tell them to include details - where, when, with whom. Have them write more complex sentences explaining why they prefer something.

Level 3 - have students make their choice and then talk about the last time they ______.

Some graphics have very basic vocabulary, some have more advanced items - but all are easy to understand due to the images. There are also some cultural graphics mixed in.
