This writing prompts gives a little information on Dr. King Jr's dream for the world and then asks the students what dream they have that could make the world a better place. This opinion writing gives students the opportunity to learn a little about MLK and then brainstorm how they can make a difference in the world.

This graphic organizer provides a house outline with designated sections for your favorite room. Here's what your students will explore within each section:

• The Room: Write the name of their favorite room (e.g., bedroom, playroom, etc.).
• Sight: Describe what they see. Specific details like furniture, decorations, or the view outside the window.

This Writing Anchor Chart Set includes 2 colorful posters specifically designed to get students to think about and alter their word choice by presenting higher level alternatives. Blow these up using the instructions I included and print on multiple sheets, then laminate. I also printed 8x11 copies to include in my students' Writing Tools Folder.
