What is the best way to teach number formation? Put it to a rhyme of course!

Help your young learners remember how to write numbers 1-10 with these fun rhymes. Not only does it help them remember during handwriting time, but it also helps them make a visual connection when recognizing numbers.

If you have students struggling with number recognition, practice the rhymes in a variety of ways: sand, whiteboard/marker, bumpy boards, air write, etc. so they get a full multi-sensory experience to solidify number recognition.

Un Monde Meilleur is a recent Keen'V song about a better world and what it would be like. He uses the future and conditional tenses quite a bit in the song. This activity packet contains a page with a grammar explanation and practice, 2 different cloze activities (one with, one without vocabulary list) to be done while listening to the song, a lyric translation activity and a short reading about Keen'V.

This is a fun and musical way to discuss a tough subject on plate boundaries around the African Rift Valley. It sits along a divergent boundary where the Somali Plate and African Plate are drifting apart. In millions of years, this could cause not only East Africa to become a new small continent, but would create a new ocean.

This lesson incorporates music as a learning tool. Students will enjoy the new rendition of the song Breaking Up is Hard to Do. It is a love song from West Africa to the East African Rift Valley. An MP3 of the song is included in this lesson.

A funny Christmas play that revolves around Holly the Elf. After being accidentally taken to the North Pole one Christmas Eve, she stayed until adulthood and grew up thinking she was an elf herself. One day she found out she was a human, and decided to go and visit her biological father.

On arrival she wasn’t welcomed by her father but soon the family grew to like Holly, and she also found a boyfriend. But then everything changed when she fell out with her father and she decided to leave.

However, as she was walking alone, she heard a crash; when she went to investigate, she noticed it was her good friend, Santa. Her family catch up with her and together they all manage to lift Christmas spirit and power Santa’s sleigh.

This lesson is focused on the beloved Christmas tune 'Last Christmas' by the famous British duo Wham! The song, in fact, has very little connection to Christmas! The focus is primarily on a relationship that didn't work out and encountering the person again a year later. Just the phrase 'Last Christmas' relates to the holiday season, signaling the climax of the relationship. Nevertheless, it continues to be chosen as the most beloved Christmas song.

The lesson offers detailed guidance for the instructor and a variety of exercises to help students practice their four skills. You can choose to use either the audio or video version of the song. Both the necessary photocopy worksheets and the solutions to the tasks are included.

Here are three easy arrangements for Tubano drums and optional tambourine!

The rhythms are easy to teach your kids as you line up familar words and teach them by rote. The tubano notation is as follows:

4th space "E" will be the tone
2nd space "A" will be bass

The tambourine can be tapped or shaken for longer durations (up to the director!)
