Looking for a simple worksheet for students to complete while watching episode 3 of Our Planet: Jungles?

Our Planet is a British nature documentary series made for Netflix. The series is narrated by David Attenborough and produced by Silverback Films, led by Alastair Fothergill and Keith Scholey, who also created BBC documentary series Planet Earth, Frozen Planet and The Blue Planet, in collaboration with the conservation charity World Wildlife Fund (WWF).

Netflix has the free episodes of their Our Planet series on YouTube. Each episode is between 49 to 51 minutes long. I usually have students vote on which one they want to watch. You do NOT have to watch them in order.

These episodes are great for sub plans and for days where the students just need to chill, such as after field days or any weird schedule days. Make sure to read the questions to the students beforehand so that they know what information they are looking for.

Movie Time!!!!

This is a movie watch-along to go with DreamWorks' The Penguins of Madagascar. Students will focus on the main idea and theme of the movie. There are 2 sheets for students to complete either during or after the movie. Students will be identifying the main idea, providing supporting details, and describing the theme!

This is a great product to help keep students engaged and focused during the movie while also building comprehension skills!

Every viewer of a teacher film can be greatly inspired. Who doesn't adore the tale of the educator who has such faith in their pupils that they change their lives? Every educator aspires to have some influence on our students' lives. Isn't this ultimately the reason we teach?

The creation of instructional videos has gained popularity, whether through the internet or motion pictures. More people are getting involved in teaching and creating engaging movies and videos, which are primarily shared on Facebook and YouTube. The sector is flourishing.

Well, here is a PowerPoint that will alleviate those issues before you begin. I've been using this for years and when students come in from other classes (I'm the Tech teacher) saying they are having issues, I show them this and they leave with the problems corrected. Looking for a worksheet for students to complete while watching the documentary "Kiss the Ground"? This is perfect for sub plans and days where student do not have devices, like the end of the year! It features 18 short answers questions and the key. Directions on how to get the movie for free for teachers are also included!

Movie info: "Kiss the Ground" is a documentary that explores the importance of healthy soil for the planet. The film explains how modern agricultural practices have led to soil degradation and environmental issues such as climate change. Most students know very little about the soil even though they interact with it directly or indirectly every day. This activity is perfect for Earth Day or sub plans if your sub has access to the computer (or your favorite partner teacher can set it up for them!)

Watch Along to go with Dr. Seuss's The Lorax

This activity is a watch along to go with the movie The Lorax. This product is focused on the events in the story. Students will take doodle notes of what they see/hear. Then describe their doodle notes, and finally sequence the events in the correct order.

Doodle Notes: This is a great way to allow students to visualize what they are watching/reading. Instead of writing what they see, students "doodle" what they are seeing/hearing. This is also a great accommodation for students who might need support with writing.

I have also included an event bank if students need some more support with sequencing the events.

This is a movie watch along to go with The Peanuts Movie! Students will be identifying the Main Idea of the movie and providing supporting details for the main idea. They will also be identifying the theme of the movie and also providing details.

This is a great product to help keep students engaged and focused during a movie while also getting practice on Main Idea and Theme!
