Comparing Proportional Relationships: Grade 7 Math

Want to know if your 7th grade math students can calculate a unit rate and compare proportional relationships in the same and different representation?
This presentation includes 10 questions (23 slides total) that has students work in groups to determine which statement is true between two given proportional relationships. Which has the higher unit rate? Which has the lower unit rate? Which of the two representations is actually proportional? Teams must be able to work together to determine the answer, then back up their answers verbally.
Great as a review activity before an exam, or as a mid-unit formative assessment to track progress towards mastery.
This lesson also includes a quick paper/pencil exit ticket students can do individually so you can assess each students' mastery of proportional relationships, with answer key included.

Valentine's Day Life Skills: Mixed Money Math w/Easel - 3 Levels NO PREP

Functional money skills such as counting and identifying money to make purchases are critical to successful daily living. Do your students need additional support identifying money, matching dollar amounts to currency and make purchases using the "next dollar up" method? This No Prep Unit reinforces these skills with progressively harder tasks beginning with matching dollar to dollar, progressing on to matching prices with dollars, then using the next dollar up method to make a purchase. The currency is US dollars from $1 to $10. There 3 levels of learning with 10 cards per level.
This is an excellent resource for Middle or High School students with IEP Math or Money Goals, Transition to Work Students, or Elem students learning money skills. It is a great addition to any math/ supported employment program or math center. These activities can also support Transition Plans!
This comprehensive money math unit works great for virtual learning, whole group learning, small group learning, as well as for homework.

Spring Solving One Step Equations Pixel Art Activity No Negatives

Let your students practice while having fun with this engaging no-prep, spring themed, and self-checking one-step equations activity. Students will solve 20 one-step equations with rational coefficients using Google Sheets. I used it as a sub-plan in sixth grade and the kids loved it. As they correctly answer the questions a mystery picture will be revealed.
The answers include only positive integers.

Students will also examine the given budget to calculate the individual total income, expenses, money saved, and identify additional ways for individuals to save.

Writing Linear Equations from Tables and Graphs - 6th Grade

Students to write additive and multiplicative equations from tables and graphs at a 6th grade level with 9 pages (18 problems. Most of the problems are of the form y=kx or y=x+b with a few challenging questions at the end with 2 steps in the form y=mx+b.
This product contains 9 pages (18 problems)
The problems start easier and get progressively more difficult, including fractional slopes and y intercepts with decimals. Full Answer Key Included.
The google doc is pictures of each problem (consisting of a table, graph, fill in the blank description, and equation) so you can delete or add an entire problem but you can't edit each one individually.
