How to Play:

⭐ **If you choose to use the premade prompt version: **Each group receives a Roll & Match worksheet with prompts already filled in under the Strength, Struggle, and Support columns for numbers 1–6. Students take turns rolling a die. After rolling, they look at the row that matches their number and choose one prompt from the Strength, Struggle, or Support column to respond to. They can share their response aloud or write it down, based on the teacher’s instructions. Others in the group can comment, relate, or ask a follow-up question (optional).

⭐ **If you choose to use the blank | customized version: **Each group receives a blank Roll & Match worksheet organized by topic, with sections for Strength, Struggle, and Support under numbers 1–6. Students begin by working together to create their own prompts based on the chosen topic. Once complete, they take turns rolling a die, selecting one prompt from the matching row, and responding aloud or in writing. Group members may listen, connect, or ask follow-up questions if they wish.

• Share a forced of the Google Slides with students.

• Students edit each box and type in an activity or experience they had over the summer. For example, "Went to the beach," "Read a book," or "Had a barbecue."

• Students continue until all text boxes are filled with different activities or experiences they had over the summer.

• Last, students find classmates who share the same activities or experiences listed on their Bingo card and write their names on the line.

How to Share a Forced Copy

• Open your Google Slides presentation.
• In the address bar, locate the URL. It should look something like this: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/your-presentation-id/edit.
• Replace the word "edit" at the end of the URL with "copy" (e.g., https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/your-presentation-id/copy).

In this activity, they must choose between 6 different quotes about math from famous figures like Albert Einstein and James Newman and articulate why the quote aligns with their own perspective. Engage your students with this fun no-prep, and self-checking order of operations group game activity. Students will practice order of operations while playing a group game using Google Sheets. I used it as a sub-plan in eighth grade and the kids loved it. As they correctly answer the questions a mystery picture will be revealed.

How to play:

Player 1 starts by solving their first problem and typing the answer in the first box of their answer section. If the answer is correct, the box will turn green. If it is incorrect, the box will remain red and Player 2 will answer their first problem. Continue taking turns until one of the players completes the mystery picture and wins the game!

Student responses won’t be visible so if a player has the opportunity to answer a question that was previously answered incorrectly, they can’t see that answer.

For this activity, you and your students will need access to Google Sheets. For best use, each student should have their own device.

Each Pixel Art includes 3 levels of varying difficulty. Level One includes NO EXPONENTS. Level two includes exponents. Level three problems are lengthier and tend to be the most difficult to solve.
