Student's need to know they are valued and appreciated. One way to let them know is it to present them with certificates, whether you present it publicly, privately, staple it to their assignment being returned to them or, if they have a student folder or journal with pockets, simply place inside for them to find! Need an awesome Movement Activity? I have just the thing for you! This creative Conscious Discipline “Breathing Pose” resource was designed to be printed and displayed as examples while you teach. Use this Google Slide file to display these beautiful images one-by-one on a large screen. It is best to use one of these images per day or per week, so these resources can last a while. Focus on the specific animal shown and discuss where this animal would be and how it would breathe and pose to gain focus. Make sure you demonstrate the pose with your class. Ask a student to help demonstrate this pose, and the sillier you are, yet focused, the more the students will want to participate with you in each of these fun and motivating animal breathing poses. This is a great SEL strategy! I hope you and your kiddos love this! Enjoy.

You will need a zip file opener to open the zip file and obtain the documents.

Students need to know they are valued and appreciated. One way to let them know is to present them with certificates, whether you present it publicly, privately, staple it to their assignment being returned to them or, if they have a student folder or journal with pockets, simply place it inside for them to find! Surprise! You are valued!

Each is created with a colorful background but can be reproduced in black and white as well. In addition, each has a inspiring quote such as the following:

• A homework pass
• 10 free minutes at the end of class
• 5 extra credit point on their next test
• The choice to work with the partner of their choosing on their next class assignment or project

As the instructor, it is up to you what you feel is appropriate rewards for your students.

Need an awesome Movement Activity? I have just the thing for you! This creative Conscious Discipline “Breathing Pose” resource was designed to be printed and displayed as examples while you teach. Use this Google Slide file to display these beautiful images one-by-one on a large screen. It is best to use one of these images per day or per week, so these resources can last a while. Focus on the specific animal shown and discuss where this animal would be and how it would breathe and pose to gain focus. Make sure you demonstrate the pose with your class. Ask a student to help demonstrate this pose, and the sillier you are, yet focused, the more the students will want to participate with you in each of these fun and motivating animal breathing poses. This is a great SEL strategy! I hope you and your kiddos love this! Enjoy.
