The Pumpkin Patch Field Trip Unit is part of my Field Trip Unit Series. The series was created with homeschoolers in mind, but can be adapted to be used in a classroom as well. Field trips are a great way to supplement learning, but often homeschoolers don’t get any background information on the location of their field trip and want to enrich their experience by expanding the learning at home before and after the trip. These units help give information and fun activities before and after the field trip.
These units are available in PreK/Kinder, Elementary, and Middle & High School levels. All Pumpkin Patch Field Trip Units follow the same outline and the parent/teacher info sheet is the same for all three so that if you have children of several ages, you can seamlessly teach them together. Doughnut Day: Activities to Celebrate the Holiday

The first Friday in June is National Doughnut Day! Celebrate the day with this across-curriculum packet of fun-filled, critical thinking activities. Pumpkin Patch Field Trip Writing Assignment

Students will answer questions that reflect on a field trip that they went on to a pumpkin farm/pumpkin patch. Questions relate with going to a pumpkin patch/farm, what a pumpkin patch is, is explained, students will answer other questions relating to what they did on their field trip, what the weather was like when they went to the pumpkin patch, what was the first thing they did when they arrived at the pumpkin patch, where do pumpkins grow, the different colors of pumpkins are explained and students will answer the question about what color pumpkins they saw at the pumpkin patch, students will label the internal and external parts of a pumpkin using a key, after they are shown diagrams that are labeled of pumpkins, students will be provided with names of what kinds of popular foods have pumpkin in them and will label the food items using a key on another page in this product, students will reflect on what other items, besides pumpkins were for sale at the pumpkin patch, what their favorite thing was about the field trip, and what kind of equipment they may have seen at a pumpkin patch.
Students will be required to write answers in sentences - short or detailed and fill in the blanks in this product when provided with a key.
