Are you looking for a low-prep and highly engaging game for your Spanish students? Play Matamoscas! All you need is enough copies of the game board and two different colored writing utensils per pair. You call out terms from the Call List included with the game board and each person scrambles to find and mark it before their partner. At the end of the game, the player with the most terms marked wins! The Call List includes all terms from the game board in the opposite language (if it's in Spanish on the board, then the English term is on the list). Are you looking for a quick, fun way to get your students practicing the conjugations of E to IE stem-changing verbs in Spanish? This fun, low-prep dice activity is a great way to practice verb conjugations and sentence writing! You can specify the tense, so this could be used at all levels! All you need is copies of the game sheet and one or two dice for each group.

This activity can be done individually, in pairs, or in small groups and it's a great way to fill a few extra minutes when your lesson ends early or on days with irregular schedules (like standardized test days, pep rallies, early releases, etc). This is also a great learning station activity. My students love playing the dice game and I'm sure yours will too!

This resource includes 2 versions of the activity, with 6 different stem-changing verbs.

• Version 1 (page 4) contains six subjects, six E to IE stem-changing verbs, and twelve lines for writing out sentences.
• Version 2 (page 5) contains the same six subjects and six E to IE stem-changing verbs as version one without space to write. This version is great to print on colored cardstock and laminate for the future. Two copies of the activity are on each page in version 2.

In addition to the activity, this resource includes instructions for completing the activity with your classes and some teacher tips.

The verbs practiced are:

empezar, entender, querer, preferir, cerrar, and mentir.
