This project is great for the end of the year. That weird time between end of course tests and the school year end is challenging. The project is mostly self-paced and great for those days that you only see some classes throughout the day. Minimum materials are needed! 11x7 paper, lined, paper, the packet, and yarn!

Student will make a map, complete a packet, and write some journal entries on how they would survive if they were stranded on a deserted island.

This product is only the slides. You will need the bundle to do this project.


Tennessee State Standards

  • 6.PS3.1 - Analyze the properties and compare the sources of kinetic, elastic potential, gravitational potential, electric potential, chemical, and thermal energy.
  • 6.LS2.4 - Using evidence from climate data, draw conclusions about the patterns of abiotic and biotic factors in different biomes, specifically the tundra, taiga, deciduous forest, desert, grasslands, rainforest, marine, and freshwater ecosystems
  • 6.ESS2.5 - Analyze and interpret data from weather conditions, weather maps, satellites, and radar to predict probable local weather patterns and conditions.
