How do I use this?

• Dad (or someone special) and child will follow the prompts on the "Our Team Name: Father's Day Edition" page
• In the first box, they will locate the first initial of Dad's (or their someone special's) name. Whatever word is there becomes the first word in their team name.

Looking for an engaging way to get your French students to build their communication skills and vocabulary? Taboo is a fun French speaking and listening game where one student has to guess a word based on clues given in French by other students. The catch is that they cannot mention anything that is included in a list of taboo words.

All of the words on each card are written in French and English. This is very useful as many of the words will be new to students whether they are beginners or very advanced. You can easily modify this game to play it with all levels!

Object of the game:

One player tries to get his teammate to guess the word at the top of a card. The player must give clues, but he can't use any of the Taboo words in his description. The taboo words are written beneath the underlined word at the top of the card.

Teams score points for each word successfully guessed. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins.

Beginner students should be allowed to use the French TABOO words printed on the cards. This will encourage them to use new vocabulary and will help them in forming sentences to use as clues.

The 1994 movie, Camp Nowhere is a coming of age movie for preteens and teens. The movie discusses problem solving skills, following rules, working together, growing up, breaking the rules, owning up to mistakes that were made, taking responsibility for your actions, finding yourself, making decisions, and being a good friend. The comprehension questions in this product relate with the movie as well as students own experiences. Students can answer these comprehension questions as they watch the movie or after they have finished the movie. Additionally, this resource integrates goal-based savings examples, teaching students how to calculate the required amount of money for desired expenses and plan monthly savings to achieve their goals within a specified timeframe.

• 3 worksheets where students are given transactions and are asked to identify the transaction as an income or an expense and track the account balance by either adding or subtracting the transactions.
• 3 worksheets where students are given monthly budgets for a person and are asked to apply the knowledge learned to answer a variety of questions. (Which expense cost the most this month?, How many forms of income does this person have? Etc.)
• 4 worksheets where students use real-world examples of monthly budgets and saving goals to practice identifying and calculating the amount of money needed for a desired expense (ex. video game or trip) and calculating how much money will need to be saved each month in order to attain the desired expense.
