Your students are going to learn a lot with this lesson, and it will have them speaking to each other in no time. This lesson can easily be used with beginners, intermediate, or advanced learners. You can adapt it to every level. Beginners should at least know the verbs être and avoir and some very basic vocabulary. More advanced students can go far, as there are many possibilities. ☞Just click here to follow my store! Merci! ❤️☜ Activity 1 Practice making conversation during a phone call from your friend, Luc. He will ask you to come to his party. Your lines are fairly open-ended, but they must correspond to what he says next, so watch out! Activity 2 Before moving on to the second part of this speaking activity, let’s review some of the most common professions. You can practice this new vocabulary by clicking on the link above which will bring you to a set of review exercises on Quizlet. This document contains a list of professions in English and French, then there's another part with only the French word and an image. All of the images correspond to the images found within the Quizlet study set. After reviewing the professions vocabulary, proceed to the next page where you will see a picture of 11 different people, all with different professions. Activity 3 Tout d’abord, comment s’appellent ces gens, quel âge ont-ils, et quelles sont leurs professions? Have a look at the people in this picture. Use your imagination to determine what their professions are (you may not have the same ideas as others, and that’s ok). Once you’ve determined their professions, tell us what their names are, and how old they are. Again, use your imagination, and try to come up with some French names! Look just below the picture to see an example, then complete the exercise by providing the same information for the other 10 people in the picture (left to right). Activity 5 Randomly choose two people from the picture above. You’ve already established their names, ages, and professions. The objective here is to have two people who don’t know each other make small talk. You will be practicing your conversation skills, which are: starting a conversation, continuing a conversation, and ending a conversation. Do your Spanish students need some help with interpersonal speaking?  Are they struggling to have conversations in Spanish?  Let’s give them some guided support with these partner conversations about food and restaurants!  Both students will have the opportunity to ask and answer questions as part of a conversation, but with a lot of scaffolding to build confidence.

There are 4 guided conversations, differentiated between Novice and Intermediate levels.  There are 2 conversations for each, so both students will have a chance to ask and answer questions in a conversational way.  

These conversations focus on food and restaurants.

• Spanish students in year 2 and up

• Students will work in partners to participate in a guided conversation
• Students will trade roles so both can practice asking questions and answering questions
• Teachers can assign these conversations as practice or as an assessment

This fun, low-prep dice activity is a great way to practice verb conjugations and sentence writing! You can specify the tense, so this could be used at all levels! This activity can be done individually, in pairs, or in small groups and it's a great way to fill a few extra minutes when your lesson ends early or on days with irregular schedules (like standardized test days, pep rallies, early releases, etc). This resource includes 2 versions of the activity, with 6 different stem-changing verbs.

• Version 1 (page 4) contains six subjects, six E to I stem-changing verbs, and twelve lines for writing out sentences.
• Version 2 (page 5) contains the same six subjects and six E to I stem-changing verbs as version one without space to write. This version is great to print on colored cardstock and laminate for the future. Two copies of the activity are on each page in version 2.

In addition to the activity, this resource includes instructions for completing the activity with your classes and some teacher tips.

Use these flash cards in order to facilitate vocabulary words for AP Spanish Literature. only 7 are blank in order to hold students accountable, but with the most difficult words being defined. 50 cards can be made. Have students change the definition for Metafora. I have divided the vocabulary words, by three. There are many words for students to learn in AP Spanish Literature, and this is one of my aids!

Are your students bored of worksheets but still need to practice vocabulary recognition? This fun vocabulary puzzle is a great way to practice or review clothing, accessory, and color vocabulary with your elementary or secondary class. Are you looking for a new and engaging way for your students to practice greetings? These role-playing cards are a great way to meet that standard! You can use these as a short filler activity to review or as a more in-depth application. These cards give each student a new name, age, and home country. My favorite strategy to use with these cards is "Quiz, Quiz, Trade" (visit http://www.kaganonline.com/ for more information).

Do your students struggle to write sentences about their likes and dislikes? This word-sorting activity will give them hands-on practice with this often tricky topic! In this activity, your students will sort the given list of 36 Spanish words into three categories: Me Gusta, Me Da Igual, and No Me Gusta. You could easily adapt this activity for other words, simply by providing your own list. In addition to the hands-on practice, each resource also includes two worksheet versions with the same words.

This resource contains:

• one word sorting sheet
• one page of thirty six terms in Spanish with dotted lines for cutting
• one worksheet where students write their opinion ("me gusta", "me da igual", and "no me gusta") and translate the term to English
• one worksheet where students write their opinion ("me gusta", "me da igual", and "no me gusta") and write an original sentence in Spanish about why they like or dislike the item using the indicated term
