Biomes of the World Adapted Notes and Review

This product includes notes for students learning about world biomes
Vocabulary words that are emphasized in this product include: biome, climate, world biomes, tundra, permafrost, taiga, temperate forests, tropical rainforests, grasslands, desert, savanna, prairies, deforestation, and forage.
These notes can also be used as adapted notes for students who need more support. This packet includes notes on each of the 7 world biomes, maps showing where each of the biomes are located, animals that live on each biome, and facts/information about each biome, short answer comprehension questions are provided after information about each biome is presented. Towards the end of the product, students can complete the world biomes research report. Students can research an animal that lives on each biome and provide interesting facts that they learned as well. Students can then draw a picture of each biome in the a drawing section. Students can also fill in the blanks using a key to review vocabulary words.

Job / Work Skills are an important part of our Middle School / High School special education / Autism student’s learning. Differentiate your vocational lessons with this Multi-Level Mail Sorting Bundle! Learn to sort mail just like Postal Workers! Teaching students vocational skills is a critical part of a special education / transition to work program. This unit helps students practice job, pre-vocational, and life skills by reading the last name on an envelope and sorting the mail into the correct mailbox.
There are 3 Levels. Level 1 has 6 mail boxes with same color coding. Level 2 has 9 mailboxes with different color coding, and Level 3 has 12 mailboxes with NO color coding. Each level is progressively more difficulty and the cues / prompts are faded. There are 12 choices (mailboxes). The student will read the "mail" and determine the last name of the recipient. They will then choose the correct mailbox to "deliver" the mail based on the last name of the recipient and the mailbox.
These skills will assist your students in becoming more independent in their daily / work life. As our Deaf/hard of hearing/ELL students are completing written assignments, little words/parts of speech that are commonly confused when writing with words such as there, their, and they're. My students are confusing them for each other continuously. The words there, their, and they're are emphasized in this product. Students will determine if there, their, and they're belong in each sentence, circle the correct use of the word there, their, and they're in sentences, write sentences using there, their, and they're when looking at different picture scenarios, and will write there, their, or they're to complete each sentence. Students are provided space to make up their own sentences using there, their, and they're as well.

Vocabulary words that are emphasized in this packet include: the five senses - taste, touch, sight, smell, and hearing, changes in our environment, living things in their environment, stimulus, response, reaction, external stimuli, internal stimuli, what sense organs some animals use to detect changes in their environment.
These notes can also be used as adapted notes for students who need more support. This packet includes students to answer comprehension questions using short answer and fill in the blank responses based on what was reviewed in the notes. There is a review packet attached that includes fill in the blank questions. Keys are provided on each page to help students when figuring out the correct answer.

Differentiate your Life / Daily Living skills lessons with this Multi-Level Kitchen Tools Identification Bundle! This functional vocabulary kitchen tools activity is a fun and engaging way to teach identifying kitchen tools / utensils. Students need to know what tools are used in the kitchen when they are planning on cooking or working in a restaurant. Learning the tools found in the kitchen improve the life and work skills for all students.
Teaching students daily living/life skills is a critical part of a special education adaptive curriculum program. This unit helps students learn to identify 30 common kitchen tools and then apply that knowledge into how each tool is used in the kitchen.
There are 3 Levels.
✭Level 1 provides direct instruction in familiarizing students with tools used in a kitchen. There are 30 total self-grading Google Slides activity cards where the student matches the same kitchen tool out of a choice of 3 tools. Adapted Reading & Writing Assessment Pre-Primer - Third Grade

This product can be used with students as an informal/formal adapted assessment. Students will be required to identify the pre-primer, primer, 1st grade,2nd grade, and/or 3rd grade Dolch sight words. If students begin at the pre-primer level and are able to identify a specific amount of each section of sight words, they are going to be ranked as independent, instructional, or frustration when identifying those sight words. Students are then provided with a sentence or brief comprehension passage for each Dolch sight word list. The questions and short passages have been adapted and shortened compared to other reading assessments so baseline data can be collected, especially with those students are struggling. This will help gauge where students need the most support in terms of identifying sight words, reading simple sentences/passages, and answering comprehension questions that relate with what is read.
