With this character cell phone analysis activity, students will make inferences using what they know about either Santa or the Grinch. The engaging design of this cell phone activity will ask students to "snoop" through a phone they found, peep their text messages, playlists and even check their most recent location history. Students are to design the homescreen on the phone based on whether it is Santa's or the Grinch's phone. For example, they might draw a scene from Santa's workshop and include the weather for the North Pole, etc.

Students should answer the other questions on the worksheet in the appropriate spaces, such as "peep their playlist" and "track their location." This literary analysis activity can be used during the holidays for a fun activity that's in keeping with the holiday spirit.
