Letter sound fluency is an important foundational skill for reading success. This low prep activity gives students a quick and engaging way to practice and improve their letter sound fluency.

This bundle includes 5 different sets of letter sound fluency strips for a total of 90 strips. The dinosaur and worm sets feature the letters a, b, c, f, i, m, n, p, s, and t and can be used to begin developing fluency before all letter sounds are introduced and mastered. The fish, grasshopper and bear sets include all letters of the alphabet. Simply print, cut apart, and laminate the fluency strips. Students point to one animal along the path at a time and say the letter sound.

Suggested Uses:

°Pass out strips to students as a quick warm up before guided reading groups.

°Use the strips as a center activity. Students can work in pairs to check each other and trade strips for a second round.

°Use the strips one on one with students needing fluency practice.. Have them practice a single strip several times while trying to increase their speed each time.

Need a quick and fun way for students to review a book they have recently read? Looking for a quick way to check students comprehension? With this Emoji Book Review, students can choose an emoji to represent how the book made them feel as well as answer 4 questions about the book.

Match the fruit or veggie to the word and letter in these puzzles! These cover all of the fruits and vegetables in my Fruit and Vegetables Vocabulary Word Wall Cards. There are two styles of puzzles: one is a two piece puzzle with the picture of the produce one one side and the word for it on the other. The other style is a three piece puzzle with one piece showing the word, one piece showing the picture, and the other piece showing the beginning letter of the produce. There are a total of 82 puzzles featuring 18 fruits and 22 vegetables. These are low prep and need to be laminated, but are full color and ready for literacy centers, early finishers, preschool centers and more. They are self-checking with different cuts in the middle that line up, but when I use them I draw a different shape on the back of each puzzle before laminating so that when they're matched, they can be flipped over to check for a complete shape. ***************************************************************************** Looking for other fruit and vegetable activities? These cards are so much fun my students beg me to work with them! I let them choose their manipulative; whether it is play-dough to tap, legos, chips, or blocks! This also gives those kiddos struggling with blending and segmenting a concrete method to gain those skills!

The cards are broken into each digraph so that you can easily practice phonemic awareness with the digraph you are working on. You can also mix them up so they can practice the skill for each digraph!
