Survival Journal - Slides - End of Year Science Project

This project is great for the end of the year. That weird time between end of course tests and the school year end is challenging. The project is mostly self-paced and great for those days that you only see some classes throughout the day. Minimum materials are needed! 11x7 paper, lined, paper, the packet, and yarn!
Student will make a map, complete a packet, and write some journal entries on how they would survive if they were stranded on a deserted island.
This product is only the slides. You will need the bundle to do this project.

The first lesson is interactive and involves students cutting out facts, and then sorting these facts into paragraphs. In the second lesson the students need to use these facts to write four paragraphs. Then, in the third lesson children need to choose the most important facts and include these in an introduction; after this they need to answer several questions on a prompt sheet before writing up their conclusion. In the final lesson students need to check their draft paragraphs for mistakes before writing up their work on to a neat copy on the template provided.

Endangered Animals Research Report Project Template | Endangered Species

Regretfully, a lot of amazing animals are in danger of becoming extinct worldwide! Less than 250 mature adults of an animal are considered endangered in the wild. These incredible creatures will go extinct and we won’t get to enjoy them ever again if nothing is done to save them and their habitats! Regretfully, there are currently more than 30,000 species of endangered animals. Students in kindergarten, first, second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth grades can learn about these endangered species with the aid of these animal reports on endangered animals. Utilize the animal worksheets to write reports about animals by adding details about their habitat, characteristics, history, reason for extinction, and other details.
The following endangered species are included in the more than 18 available animal report forms: blue whale, bluefin tuna, camel, chinchilla, elephant, gorilla, honey bee, killer whale (orca), macaw, manatee, markhor, orangutan, panda, porpoise, rhinoceros, sea turtle, tapir, and zebras.
There is 1 page for each of the 18 different animals in this printable pack. Children can fill out these enjoyable worksheets with the following information once they have researched each animal and learned why it is endangered as well as how to help it.

Students love doing projects and making their learning come to life! This project is perfect for hands-on activities and understanding ponds and pond life. Students learn about ponds in the ecosystem and then decorate a shoe box based on what they learned! Students are responsible for decorating the box and creating a creative scene representing a pond ecosystem.
Here’s what you’ll get:
What is a diorama?
A diorama is a three-dimensional scene built to illustrate a topic. Dioramas are small scenes created with layers of materials. A diorama can be made out of a shoe box or similar box that includes a variety of information and pictures about a topic.
Students create a diorama by cutting, coloring, painting, and gluing pieces inside the box to create a model that shows a situation, such as a historical event or animals in their natural environment. Students can be encouraged to add real features such as grass, sand, sticks, etc.
The dioramas do not come with specific assembly instructions. Students should learn about food chains first and use the pieces within this resource to creatively build their own unique diorama! This is a fun way for students to learn and get hands-on with the lesson/topic.
Prep is quick and easy. Print on cardstock for durability and let your students explore the water as an enrichment activity for your lesson plan.
