This non-fiction text contains two reading passages about some very fascinating animals that I've encountered. It was made with the NGSS in the area of life sciences in mind. The articles are on a low to high third grade reading level, but the passages are even interesting for adults! They are perfect for early finishers, for use in centers, and for whole and small group reading.

This critical reading activity will have students analyze the Korean War from two different sources of information; each of which take a different position on the underlying causes and effects of this war. This life cycle resource is aligned to the NGSS. There is a link to a great Youtube video showing the initial stages of the Wood Frog's Life Cycle. A graphic organizer for students to fill out as they watch and discuss is included. There is an informative read about the Wood Frog itself. It would be a good independent read for eight, nine, and ten-year-olds, and the perfect read-aloud for younger children. A poster for each stage of a frog's development is included (frogs in general-not a Wood Frog). There are several follow-up worksheets included.
