These fruit themed letter and number flashcards and puzzles are a great activity for preschool and kindergarten students. Students can practice letter and number recognition by matching capital and lowercase letters, matching numbers and number words up to 20.

What is Included:

• Alphabet cards for capital and lowercase letters
• Number cards for numbers 1-20 and number words.
• 2 piece alphabet puzzles that match capital and lowercase letters

Students will love the hands on activities in this resource. There are a variety of different games and activities that students can complete independently or with a partner.

Ways to Use the Cards:

• Matching Game: Match capital and lowercase letters or numbers to the number words.
• Fishing Game: Attach a paper clip to the card and use a magnetic fishing pole to "catch" the letters or numbers.
• Salt/Sand Tray: Use these cards as a model to show students what to write in the sand.
• Letter or Number Hunts: Have students find the letters or numbers that you have hidden around the room.
• ABC Order or Number Order: Have students place letters or numbers in the correct order.

Find the Snowman Game

Practice recognizing letters and numbers with this fun game. Place number or letter cards in a pocket chart and hide a snowman behind one of the cards. Students will take turns guessing a letter/number to find the hidden snowman. They can record letters/numbers guessed with a record sheet. Once the snowman is found, play again!

This cactus themed Color by CVC Word freebie is a preview of our full size Color by CVC Word units. This freebie comes with a "short a" puzzle featuring the words cat, mad, jam, and pan. Students can use the picture clue puzzle or the word clue puzzle. In the picture clue puzzle, students look at the picture of the word and then find the corresponding word to color. In the word clue puzzle, students have the CVC word to look at and find the matching word to color. No prep! Just print and go.

This product is a supplemental activity to make your lessons more engaging! This product is the BANG! word game using decodable words and sight words from 1st Grade Benchmark Literacy Phonics Unit 1. Benchmark Literacy Phonics Unit 1 is beginning l-family blends (cl, bl, fl, pl, and sl). This produce includes four pages. The decodable words are on the first two pages and the sight words are on the last two pages. There are a total of 40 card which includes 16 decodable words, 14 sight words, and 10 "BANG!" cards. The cards can also be used as flashcards! Directions on how to play: • Students take turns drawing the cards from a face-down pile and try to say the word on the card. • If they can say the word correctly, they get to keep the card. If they cannot, the card goes on the bottom of the card for someone else to have a chance. If playing with only two students, the partner gets a turn and can keep the card if they know it. • When a Bang! card is drawn from the pile the student who drew it has to return all their cards to the bottom of the pile. Do you use Benchmark Literacy? Are you looking for extra activities to use with your kids? This Four in a Row game is perfect to use in your classroom! It goes along with Benchmark Literacy Phonics Unit 1 - l-family blends (cl, bl, fl, pl, and sl). In this product you will find four different versions to use in your classroom. The first two pages of this document have only the decodable words for this unit. The third and fourth page of this document have decodable words along with the sight words. How I use Four in a Row in my classroom: The students play with a partner and each group gets a set of double sided counters. Our counters are yellow and red. One student is red and the other student is yellow. The students take turns and say a word. If the word is read correctly, the student can put a counter on that space. The other student gets a turn and place a counter on the space if they say the word correctly. If a student says a word incorrectly, they do not get to place a counter on the space and it is the other person’s turn. The game continues until one student has four counters in a row across, diagonally, or up and down.
