H-Insertion FREEBIE - Speech Therapy - Articulation - Initial Sound Production
By The SLP Curriculum
This resource was created in order to help Speech Language Pathologists target initial phonemes at the word level.
The h-insertion trick can be an extremely helpful strategy to use when children are stuck at the isolation level of a sound. By producing /h/ after the initial sound, the child continues their air flow, making it easier to produce the following vowel. This helps them to eliminate the prior habit of producing the incorrect sound.
Find the Full H-Insertion Resource Here!
If you haven't tried /h/-insertion, download this FREEBIE and see it work it's magic!

A decodable reader mini-book
A single-page passage with a picture(s).
Many reading programs such as the Science of Reading, Logic of English and All About Reading have found that for reading comprehension to improve, a student’s ability to decode must increase. A powerful tool to improve student decoding skills is through the use of decodable texts.
With a Bible decodable text, you will also be increasing the student’s knowledge of the Bible and help grow their faith in Jesus!
Thank you and HAPPY TEACHING!!

Make sure to note:
This is for ONE Bible Story Decodable reader resource. Others are /will be listed separately in my store.
For most decodable readers the writer can ‘make up’ a story by choosing from only these types of words. However, to accurately tell the Bible story, I had to use a few sight words and Bible vocabulary.
These are not meant to be in-depth Bible lessons. These are meant to support your reading program, integrating the Bible into early learning!

Right now this file contains:
**Letter Sound Fluency Strips**
This low prep activity gives students a quick and engaging way to practice and improve their letter sound fluency. Students point to colorful pictures one at a time as they say the letter sounds on them. They can use the same strips repeatedly and work to increase their speed.
You can find more activities just like this in my Letter Sound Fluency BUNDLE.
**Letter Sound Fluency Tear Off Strips**
These low prep tear off strips bring a fun, active element to practicing letter sound fluency. My small group intervention students beg for this activity!
Display the colorful sheets of tear off strips around the room. Students tear off one strip at a time and practice the row of 10 letter sounds 3 times to increase fluency. Then they can read their strip for the teacher or a classmate before choosing another sheet to tear from.
You can find more activities just like this here.
