Make your own book template! Kids love writing their own stories. This is an easy to print document that students can put together themselves to make their own book. Students will write and wipe or use manipulative letters. Students will build letters using flower petals, tap out sounds with Mr. Frog, and slowly talk with Mr. Turtle. We will be talking very slowly like a turtle!  We call this turtle talk.  Look at the picture.  What is it?  Say the word slowly.  Tap out every sound you hear.  Write the letters on the card.  Use your turtle to walk and turtle talk the word you made!

Print these fun bookmarks on colored or white cardstock and provide them to your students. The goal is to challenge the students to read and keep up with the number of books they read. Once they have finished a book, they are to color it to reflect they have finished the book.

You may also choose to laminate and them and have them use a permanent marker to cross out the emoji.

Getting out and exploring the colors and textures of fall is a great introduction to nature for all students! With our fall scavenger hunt have adventures in nature and have fun practicing counting to five and identifying colors.

This resource includes 7 Figurative Language in Literature Graphic Organizers (in 3 variations) for students to record the different types of figurative language they come across in any of the texts they read.
