Directions

Rolling the Die:

• Students roll a six-sided die to determine which sight word sentence they will read.
• Students can also scan the QR code on the worksheet using a device with a QR code scanner to access a virtual dice roller.

Reading the Sight Word Sentence:

• Students match the number rolled with the corresponding sight word sentence on their worksheet.
• Students read the sight word sentence out loud.
• Students should focus on pronouncing each sight word sentence correctly and quickly.

Marking Progress:

• Once students read a sight word sentence, they should highlight or color the box. They could also cover it with a counter or place marker etc.
• If students roll a number they have already completed, they should roll again until they land on a new sight word sentence.
• Students continue rolling and reading until they have completed all the sight word sentences on their worksheets.

The classic game of memory using CVC words! 3 different versions provide several ways to play the game: match word to word, word to picture, word and picture to word and picture, or any combination of the three! Mix and match to increase the difficulty of the game. Includes 85 different CVC words covering short a, short e, short i, short o, and short u. Cards can be separated into individual games for each word family. Print cards on cardstock and/or laminate for durability.

*Also includes black and white versions of the picture cards for easy printing or to let students color their own game set.*
