Valentine's Day Reading Comprehension and Sequencing Craft
Students will love this Valentine's Day themed, educational activity that goes along with one of my favorite Valentine's Day books: There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Rose.
UPDATE! This activity now includes link to a DIGITAL version of the activity and assessments so you can continue to use this with your remote learners.
No book? No problem! A link to the story read aloud on YouTube is included on the directions page!
Use with the book There was an Old Lady who Swallowed a Rose. Students can read the story and use the picture "leaves" to sequence the events of the story as they add leaves to their rose.
Includes a differentiated sequencing assessment (fill in the blank and multiple choice versions) along with a list of seven easy ways to differentiate instruction with this resource.

Accommodation Checklist- Post-it Template

As a special education teacher, I use these to communicate with the general education teachers about what accommodations were given on which assessments. The post-it template allows me to print directly on to a post-it note to make it even more quick and convenient. Print a template, cover the squares with post-its, and place the paper back into the printer. The direction of the paper will vary based on the model of the printer, but for me, I put them in upside down and facing backwards.
Base Ten Block Place Value Number Matching

Students can use these cards to match two and three-digit numbers with their base ten block representations and their expanded form. Use the cards individually to create even more activities. For example, give students the three digit number card and have them build the number using actual base ten blocks. You can also give the students the clip art cards and have them write the three digit numbers or the numbers in expanded form. The possibilities are endless and easily differentiated for every learner.

St. Patrick's Day Roll A Rainbow: Count and Graph

The second has words printed in a dotted font so they can trace certain words. The third has fill-in-the-blank sections for students to answer as they follow along in your lesson (use the copy with all words printed as your guide). Mix and match the booklets to best fit the needs of your students. The clip art from David's Simple Teaching is the perfect blend of kid-friendly and realistic. Counting Mats: Roll it, make it, find it, write it

Use these mats for small groups or independent practice with one or two dice. Students roll the dice, count the dots, use manipulatives to represent the number, locate the number, and practice writing the number. Print and laminate the sheet or put it in a page protector to use with a dry erase marker for repeated use.
Updated to include a version of the mats with tens frames to help "make" the numbers.
Updated a second time to include a version of the mat with an addition sign for added math skill practice.
Place Value Task Cards, Expanded Form, Base Ten Blocks
