Some of the questions require students to put their feet in the shoes of characters who are experiencing a problem. When students are reading each story, they will review the importance of advocating for themselves. The vocabulary word advocacy and the different tenses that the word can be used is reviewed and discussed, students will learn and discuss what advocacy means, how we advocate for ourselves, examples of how one can advocate for themselves, why it is important to advocate for ourselves and others, and why advocacy can be challenging is included in this product. The two stories include topics regarding advocating for oneself if you are unable to hear someone that is asking you a question or are in need of help locating batteries or amplification devices.

This is a great way to introduce the concepts of “bucket filling” for the beginning of the year or reminders of self-care and positive and empowering learning environments.
There are a total of 60 cards which includes a particular behaviour and on each card the student is asked to reflect on the situation and choose whether it is a Bucket Filler or a Bucket Dipper. The student may require some reflective questioning should they need prompting as to how and why a behaviour may be a bucket filler or a bucket dipper. These cards are created to facilitate conversation, discussion and insight. This resource includes 60 cards which has a narrative of what is happening in the situation, as well as 60 cards without the narrative to encourage the student to really reflect on the situation.

Lower and Uppercase Alphabet Recognition Dinosaur Stomp A4 Cards designed to encourage students to identify and differentiate the alphabet letters in a fun and engaging way!
There is so much versatility in this game. You may want to start off utilizing the most familiar letters then progress into expanding into the more difficult letters.
Simply print off all of the A4 pages, laminate them for durability – they will then last for years to come!
You can play this game in pairs, groups or as a whole class activity. Encourage the students to take turns to STOMP on the letter that you say out loud. If you have enough students in the class you can assign each student a letter to stomp on. Another option is starting with each student taking turns to STOMP on letter “A” then “B” then “C” and so forth. As everyone stomps through the letters it can be a race as to who can get to the end of the alphabet first!
