Students will review/learn facts and vocabulary about what a forecast and meteorologist are, what a biography is and if it is comparable to a fiction or nonfiction text, review vocabulary words and their pictures that are present in the text, different kinds of clouds, learn about the author and the illustrator, and students will write a weather journal. Students will answer comprehension questions using this product. They can complete these questions individually, in a small group, or with support. There are several pages of comprehension questions in this packet that differ from the questions asked in the teacher edition. As students are learning the ULTIMATE 260 - 4th grade sight words in this product, they will be provided with each word, an example of the word used in a sentence, and the opportunity to make up a sentence themselves using the word. I find that with my students who are Deaf/hard of hearing/ELL, when they make up sentences using each newly learned sight word, it helps them to remember how to spell the word, the meaning, and how it is used. My students love booklets of any kind that they can refer back to. Once they have come up with their sentences, they can include pictures that they print and cut out, draw pictures freehand, or find pictures in a magazine that they can add to each page of the 4th grade sight word booklet that matches each sentence they come up with. This gives students the opportunity to connect what they are learning about in the classroom with their own personal interests. This booklet is rather lengthy, so instead of printing it out, you can display it for the entire class to see as well. This booklet is perfect for students that are on grade level as well as students who require instructional information to be adapted.

This product was made to help students see the difference in the following present tense common action verbs:
eat, eats, eating, run, runs, running, jump, jumps, jumping, drink, drinks, drinking, walk, walks, walking, chop, chops, chopping, sing, sings, singing, act, acts, acting, kick, kicks, kicking, mix. mixes, and mixing.
Students can complete this product with 1:1 support or independently. This product is a great review to help remind students to write in the correct tense. Example sentences using each tense of the word are provided. Lines are provided under each example for students to make up their own sentences.

An excerpt from the historical fiction text, Lewis and Clark and Me - A Dog's Tale is a good read enjoyed by all of my students. In this product, students will answer comprehension questions pertaining to the text as they read the book or after they read the text. This product includes vocabulary words and pictures to help students understand the text. In the beginning of the product, a historical fiction text is reviewed and setting examples are provided.
Students can complete these questions individually, in a small group, or with support. There are several pages of comprehension questions in this packet that differ from the questions asked in the teacher edition. The questions from the text are adapted in this packet to meet each of your student's needs.

The graphic novel, Allergic - The Graphic Novel by Megan Wagner Lloyd and Michelle Mee Mutter is great for children ages 9 - 15 years old, as they can relate with the characters. This is a book about friendship, getting along with siblings, developing interests, finding oneself, accepting change, starting a new school, being a good friend, being different from others and embracing those differences, being allergic to something and how it makes you different and accepting that difference. Comprehension questions and multiple choice questions are provided in this product and are separated by the books 13 chapters.
The comprehension questions in this product relate with the text as well as students own experiences. Vocabulary words, their meanings, and a few example sentences are presented in the packet.
