April Morning Meeting Work Slides

Do your students need Morning Meeting ideas for April? Using different Morning Meeting ideas can lead to tremendous growth academically and socially. The fun Morning Meeting questions can be utilized along with your greeting and other activities.  The Spring Morning Meeting questions should be used during the month of April with your students but could be used during other months too. 

There are Easter questions, Autism Awareness questions, spring weather questions, and others to celebrate the different holidays in April. All of the questions are on Google Slides that can be used every morning during your Morning Meeting routine. All you have to do is bring up the next Google Slide each morning for that day. There are 20 EDITABLE and DIVERSE slides just for the month of April! 

Students will create connections and develop deep discussions with the questions.  Therefore, the skills they are learning during Morning Meeting will lead to connections within their reading texts. Students who practice those skills outside of reading will most likely utilize those same skills while reading. 

Additionally, the April Question of The Day will create deep relationships between you and your students! If you have my other Morning Meeting Slides then you understand how powerful these questions can be!  

This is also an excellent resource to use with your remote learners or to assign to your students’ laptops. You could assign one or more slides to their learning management system for morning meetings or writing or reading activities.

Part 2: The second section of the Anticipation Guide prompts students to choose a statement from the list above and delve into its significance to them. They may reflect on how the statement connects to their own lives, share a personal experience related to it, or elaborate on their thoughts concerning its importance in greater detail.

▶️ Variation #2: This Anticipation Guide worksheet format includes a list of statements accompanied by columns for "AGREE," "DISAGREE," and "COMMENTS." Students are instructed to read each statement and mark either "AGREE" or "DISAGREE." SELF-ASSESSMENT

There is ONE Self-Assessment included in this resource. Students will assess their level of vulnerability to peer influence and risky behaviors. They will score each statement using the following scale: 2 for “Always,” 1 for “Sometimes,” and 0 for “Never.” They can use this assessment tool to help them understand the areas they need to work on, so they can minimize their chances of falling victim to negative peer pressure.

Part 2: The second section of the Anticipation Guide prompts students to choose a statement from the list above and delve into its significance to them. They may reflect on how the statement connects to their own lives, share a personal experience related to it, or elaborate on their thoughts concerning its importance in greater detail.

▶️ Variation #2: This Anticipation Guide worksheet format includes a list of statements accompanied by columns for "AGREE," "DISAGREE," and "COMMENTS."
