4.Exploring Emotions: Shifting the focus to identifying and managing emotions associated with grief, this session includes engaging activities such as emotion charades and discussion circles, enhancing emotional literacy and communication skills.

5.Caring for Yourself: Emphasizing the importance of self-care in the grieving process, this session equips students with strategies for emotional well-being. Activities include creating a personalized self-care toolbox and practicing mindfulness exercises.

6.My Grief Suitcase: Students examine their personal grief experiences and resilience, symbolically represented in a "Grief Suitcase." This reflective session promotes self-awareness and understanding of individual coping mechanisms.

7.My Memory Jar: Crafting a Memory Jar becomes a poignant activity to honor positive memories and celebrate the lives of loved ones. Personal reflections are incorporated into this creative and meaningful exercise.

8.Termination and Review: The concluding session focuses on group reflection, expressing gratitude, and discussing future support. Students engage in activities that encourage thoughtful reflection on the group journey, fostering a sense of closure and individual goal-setting.

What’s inside the church? What items are used during mass? This worksheet pack is no prep and will help answer the question as to what's inside the church and common items one would see during mass. There 12 worksheet or activities to do.

This worksheet pack includes....

• What Do You Inside the Church? - Draw a line from only the objects in the church to the church.
• Inside Our Church - Trace the words of 15 objects found in the church.
• Cut & Paste - The objects that are found in the church are cut out and glued to the church. The church and objects can also be colored and directions are included. (Optional: Instead of drawing a line from the object to the church, the objects could just be circled and/or colored.)
• What’s Inside the Church? - Draw a line the items in the church to the object. Also, draw an object found in the church and describes what it is and does.
• Label the Items - Write the names of the 14 objects labeled items inside the church, of the 10 items on the credence table, and the 10 items on the altar or in the sanctuary.

"Healing Hands - Navigating Grief Together" is a research-based and trauma-sensitive 8-week small group counseling program designed for middle school students. SESSION OVERVIEW

This grief and loss curriculum comprises of EIGHT SESSIONS which include:

1. Welcome and Introduction: In the opening session, students are introduced to the group, fostering trust and setting expectations. Group-building exercises and activities are employed to establish a supportive environment.
2. Exploring Grief: This session delves into the concept of grief and its various manifestations. Through a grief collage reflection, students visually express and share their individual experiences, promoting understanding and empathy.
3. Letter to my Loved One: Participants will have the opportunity to express their emotions and thoughts through letter writing which allows them to process their feelings and find a personalized way to remember and honor the person they have lost.
4. Exploring Emotions: The focus shifts to identifying and managing emotions associated with grief. Engaging in emotion charades and discussion circles, students enhance their emotional literacy and communication skills.
5. Caring for Yourself: Emphasizing the importance of self-care in the grieving process, this session equips students with strategies for emotional well-being. Activities include creating a self-care toolbox and practicing mindfulness exercises.
6. My Grief Suitcase: Students examine their personal coping strategies and resilience, represented symbolically in a "Grief Suitcase." This reflective session promotes self-awareness and understanding of individual coping mechanisms.
7. My Memory Jar: Crafting a Memory Jar becomes a poignant activity to honor positive memories and celebrate the lives of loved ones. Personal reflections are incorporated into this creative and meaningful exercise.
8. Termination and Review: The concluding session focuses on group reflection, expressing gratitude, and discussing future support. Students engage in activities that encourage thoughtful reflection on the group journey, fostering a sense of closure and individual goal-setting.

• Inside Our Church - Trace the words of 15 objects found in the church.

"Mindfully Me" is a comprehensive and engaging 7-week mindfulness small group counseling curriculum designed for middle school students and is thoughtfully aligned with the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) standards. This Mindfulness small group counseling curriculum focuses on introducing mindfulness techniques and empowering students to enhance their social and emotional well-being. It offers a safe and supportive environment for students to explore their emotions, develop self-awareness, and acquire practical mindfulness skills. This curriculum is full of interactive, hands-on and engaging activities to help reinforce learning.

"Mindfully Me" is designed to empower middle school students with the skills and mindset to navigate the challenges of adolescence with resilience and self-awareness. It encourages the development of lifelong skills for emotional regulation, effective communication, and overall well-being. This mindfulness program aligns seamlessly with ASCA standards, providing a holistic approach to student development.

Below are the specific details for each individual session which can be used in isolation or as a comprehensive curriculum.

1. Session 1 - Welcome and Introduction to Mindfulness: This session serves as an orientation where students are introduced to the "Mindfully Me" program. It emphasizes the importance of mindfulness in everyday life, explores the expectations for the group, and establishes a safe and supportive atmosphere.

2. Session 2 - Mindful Moments: In this session, students delve into the concept of mindfulness and practice being fully present in the moment. They engage in mindfulness activities to understand the power of the "here and now."

3. Session 3 - Exploring Feelings: This session guides students to explore their emotions. They learn to identify and understand their feelings and develop strategies for coping with difficult emotions constructively.

4. Session 4 - Mindful Senses: Students explore their five senses and how these senses can be used as anchors for mindfulness. They learn to focus on sensory experiences to stay present and engage in practical sensory activities.

5. Session 5 - Mindful Breathing: Mindful breathing is introduced as a powerful tool for self-regulation. Students practice various breathing techniques to manage stress and enhance emotional control.

6. Session 6 - Gratitude: Gratitude is the focus of this session, encouraging students to cultivate a positive mindset. They explore the concept of gratitude and engage in activities to foster appreciation for the present moment.

7. Session 7 - Termination and Review: The final session serves as an opportunity for students to review their mindfulness journey throughout the program. They reflect on their progress and discuss how they plan to incorporate mindfulness into their daily lives moving forward.
