Adapted books of Rainforest Animals for Special Education
By Until the Pieces Fit
Interactive Adaptive Books, themed around rainforest animals. These books are designed to cater to diverse learning needs while immersing readers in the wonders of the rainforest ecosystem. Featuring a collection of your favorite rainforest animals - the sloth, butterfly, hummingbird, parrot, jaguar, tree frog, tapir, and capybara - each book promises a rich and engaging learning experience.
Tiered Supports for Every Learner: Our Interactive Adaptive Books are thoughtfully crafted to accommodate learners of all levels. Each book is structured with tiered supports, ensuring that every reader, from beginners to more advanced learners, can find their perfect level of engagement. This approach fosters inclusivity and provides an opportunity for learners to progress at their own pace.
Book 1 - Exploring the Rainforest Animals: This book is not adaptive however as you turn the pages, you'll discover captivating details about the animals that call the rainforest home. With each page, young readers will expand their knowledge and appreciation for these incredible creatures.
Book 2 - Interactive Comprehension: This book contains 8 icons, colorful pages with simple sentences including animals and their action. Example: I see a tapir rooting for food.
Book 3 - Visual Support & Statements: In this version, the focus is on visual learning and language development. The book contains a selection of 8 color icons representing the rainforest animals. The low-ink design ensures easy and economical printing. Every page features both a visually appealing icon and an "I see" statement, encouraging readers to connect the visuals with the corresponding animals. This book is an ideal resource for fostering early language skills while immersing children in the beauty of the rainforest.
Book 4 - Developing Independence: This book contains 8 color icons which students will match to the "I see" statement on each page. No visual supports are provided for this book which is an excellent way to determine if students recognize the animals without extra support. I have used low ink for quick and easy printing.
While these books require a bit of preparation – from printing to velcro attachment and binding – the effort is well worth it. Once assembled, these versatile resources can be used year after year, making learning about rainforest animals a timeless adventure. For inquiries or further assistance, don't hesitate to reach out at untilthepiecesfit2@gmail.com. Bible Letter of the Week Mini Books Bible Alphabet Bible Phonics
By Kaylor Creations
Journey through learning the letters of the alphabet while also discovering Bible characters, verses, stories and more! These mini books are perfect for little hands and the message is perfect for their little hearts!
Here is what is included in this resource. Make sure to check out the preview!
My Mini Bible Letter Books
One for each letter of the alphabet! Each mini book is 7 mini pages on two full sheet of paper. They are easy to print, cut down the middle and staple together.
Each Book Includes
Page 1: A Bible verse that begins with the letter. This can be used for memorization too!
Page 2: Letter with Bible Word, Picture & short lesson
•Page 3:Another Letter with Bible Word, Picture & short lesson
Page 4: Uppercase Learn & Practice: you can use these pages to teach what the letter looks like and how to write it, you could also introduce the sound.
Page 5: Lowercase Learn & Practice: you can use these pages to teach what the letter looks like and how to write it, you could also introduce the sound.
Page 6: Letter Maze The letters on in block squares inside a maze. The Student must look for the letter to follow a path from start to finish. Could use a highlighter.
•Page 7: Letter Sounds Cut & Paste At the end of this resource you will find pictures of things that begin with each letter of the alphabet. The student will cut and paste the pictures that make the same sound.
Letter Sounds Pictures ( Pg. 58-65)
•Organized three letters at a time, these are pictures of things that begin with each letter of the alphabet. These are small enough to cut out and paste onto the last page of the mini book. Very little ones – You could let them find the right pictures then you may want to cut them out for them. I would suggest printing them on cardstock. I used a color cardstock.
Alphabet Posters Sample ( 67-70)
•I created full sized posters to be used to decorate your classroom, use as visuals, stick to your fridge or dry erase board to remember the letter of the week. I provided three free samples for you in this resource. Post on cardstock or laminate.
What's great about these mini books is they include almost all of the resources that are in other kinds of letter of the week curriculums but i_nstead of wasting tons of paper, you are are only printing two pages a week_ !
These were created with Preschoolers in mind, but they could be used with Kindergarten as review, as remediation or for sped.
