Substitute Plans Cheat Sheet -Contacts, Procedures, Accommodation for Sub Binder

By The Magical Avocado

Get all three of the Substitute Plans Cheat Sheet Pages for a discounted price with this bundle!

Writing sub plans doesn't have to be super stressful!

Make sure your guest teachers are prepared to take over your room by preplanning the institutional and procedural knowledge that you use every day to ensure a well-functioning classroom.

While this isn't a substitute (pun intended!) for a daily plan, having this sheet can help to set your mind at ease knowing that whatever the day has in store, your guest teacher is prepared with the procedures and class information that they need to succeed!

The Procedures Page Includes space to describe:

  • Announcements
  • Start of Class
  • Attendance Procedures
  • Bathroom Rules
  • Phone/Tech Use
  • Lunch Procedures
  • Planning Period (and anything they need to know about that time!_
  • What to do with students who finish early
  • Dismissal Procedures
  • Teacher Duty Station
  • and two extra boxes to cater to your needs!

The Contact Page provides information on who to contact if they need

  • Content Help
  • Procedural Help
  • Discipline Help
  • Medical Help
  • Student Guidance
  • Translations and English Language Learner Support
  • School Resource Officer
  • Administration
  • You (if you want!)
  • as well as your classroom room number, class phone number, and how to pronounce your name (that way they are not scrambling in an emergency to figure out how to get someone to the room!)

The Accommodation Page has information regarding:

  • Health and Medical Concerns
  • English Language Learners
  • Students with Exceptional Needs

Please remember your legal responsibilities when handling student accommodation data. This is to be used for things that the substitute would absolutely need to know in order to ensure the safety and education of your students.

Things that would be good to include are:

  • Students with diabetes pumps or hearing aids that resemble phones
  • Students who are unable to use screens due to a concussion
  • Students who have to have water at their desk as per a 504
  • Students who are allowed to use a translation device (electronic or paper) during class and assessments
  • Students who need to leave the room to go to the nurse at a designated time
  • Students who are on a behavior plan that directly impacts classroom management

This set also includes an example page with accommodations that would be important for the sub to know about.

This purchase is for a digital download of a bundle. Each product includes a zipped folder. You can unzip the folder using a variety of free resources, including what is built into the Windows Operating System. Inside the zipped folder are five different colors of the same file (pink, blue, purple, green, black and white)

Each page is a fillable pdf. This allows you to not only type once, print...but edit as needed without having to redo the entire sheet!
