Students can begin independently reading right away! Just print, (maybe laminate), and cut! This resource is a handout that matches the slideshow for the same lesson. It is in an easy to print format and can be printed in black and white or color.

I like to give students a ready-to-go reading format after the lesson. I have also included a video of me reading to students so they can hear the pronunciation. This is a great homework assignment as students get input and do not have to worry about getting right or wrong answers. It works perfectly for the flipped classroom, homeschooling, or sub work.

French Lesson 1 - Greetings, Numbers, Boy, Girl, Basic Descriptions is a great first day of French I presentation. The slideshow includes new vocabulary as well as a video students can watch independently to learn some new words and phrases. The video is 3:41 minutes and a simple reading of the slideshow. Homeschoolers who do not have a French speaking teacher can also make use of this.
