Social stories are a tool used by parents and educators that can help kids, teens, and adults with Autism and other Developmental Disorders understand what will be coming up in their day, reduce anxiety, and learn rules and social cues.

To use this social story, read through the story together each day when the student is calm. Practice calming strategies using the bonus calm strips included with this set. Separation can cause a lot of stress for families and can also significantly impact upon children’s wellbeing.
