This is one of my favorite activities that I do with my students and they love it!

This activities works on multiple reading skills such as higher level thinking, reading, sight words, different reading strategies, spelling, and many others. There is enough jokes for 25 days. To Play:

Step 1: The students read the words in the joke and you click on the words to

underline them.

Step 2: Students guess letters in the answer to the joke.

Step 3: You click on the letter that the students say. It will disappear from the

bottom and fill in if it is located in the answer.

Step 4: You continue until the students figure out all the words in the answer.

If a student figures out any of the words I will go ahead and click the letters in the word they figured out.

So you've finally covered all of the instruments and their respective families! How's about an interactive game where the students identify the instruments in the order they hear them? Look no farther than Instrument Drag n' Drop! Students will listen to the musical examples (some synthesized and some real samples!) and be given 3 instrument choices (some all in the same family, some in different families, and some within the same range). After listening to the musical instruments, students have to put those instruments in the order that they heard them. If you're using an interactive whiteboard, students can drag the instrument to the answer box below after they are finished listening the example. The teacher will then advance the slide to display the correct answer! There are 10 examples included in this lesson along with 10 corresponding sound files. Although designed for an IWB, students can play on personal dry erase boards or can even split the class up boys vs girls, team 1 vs team 2, etc, and have a race to identify the correct answers in the correct order first first. A total of nine 3D shapes in their corresponding slides, where we can see how many sides, angles, and vertices (caras, aristas y vértices) each one of them has dynamically and attractively through various animations. If you click on the number of sides shown in the chart for each of the shapes, an animation clearly shows which sides are. If you click on the number of angles or the number of vertices, they will also be clearly shown to the student using individual animations.

Apart from the shape drawn as an example, a real example of that shape and another example of that shape in the art world are shown. To see this last example larger, click on it.

Do your students need Morning Meeting ideas? Using different Morning Meeting ideas can lead to tremendous growth academically and socially. The fun Morning Meeting questions can be utilized along with your greeting and other activities.  The spring Morning Meeting questions should be used during the month of March with your students but could be used during other months too. 

There are Mardi Gras questions, St. Patrick Days questions, Women's History questions, and Deaf and Hard of Hearing questions to celebrate the different holidays in March. All of the questions are on Google Slides that can be used every morning during your Morning Meeting routine. All you have to do is bring up the next Google Slide each morning for that day. There are 20 EDITABLE and DIVERSE slides just for the month of March! 

Students will create connections and develop deep discussions with the questions.  Therefore, the skills they are learning during Morning Meeting will lead to connections within their reading texts. Students who practice those skills outside of reading will most likely utilize those same skills while reading. 

Additionally, the March Question of The Day will create deep relationships between you and your students! If you have my other Morning Meeting Slides than you understand how powerful these questions can be!  

This is also an excellent resource to use with your remote learners or to assign to your students’ laptops. You could assign one or more slides to their learning management system for morning meetings and writing or reading activities.
