Students can use these cards to match two and three-digit numbers with their base ten block representations and their expanded form. Use the cards individually to create even more activities. For example, give students the three digit number card and have them build the number using actual base ten blocks. Students will gain practice identifying and spelling primer level Dolch sight words with this fun spaghetti and meatballs game. Allow the students to select a spaghetti word bowl, or the teacher can "order" specific words on fun "Let me take your order" sheets. Perfect for small group instruction or early finishers. Print all sheets and laminate. Cut apart. You can add velcro pieces if you like to keep the metball letters secured to the spaghetti bowls.

Popcorn Pathway is a fun way to help students practice CVC words with the short O sound. This is a perfect game for small group stations or to play during free time. Directions are included, but you are encouraged to change up the rules to according to your students' needs.

This super sight word game is a great way to get your little super heroes excited about reading! Game cards include pre-primer, primer, first grade, and second grade Dolch sight words, each marked for easy differentiation based on level. Download, print, laminate, and cut the cards and spinner. Pancake Days Math Themed Activities and Centers - Students will develop their Early numeracy skills of counting, number identification, graphing, addition & subtraction, & making 10.

Print and Laminate materials from this packet for students to use in math centers, or for additional practice with groups or direct instruction. These materials can be utilized in a variety of ways to provide differentiation for your students!

Number Identification - Pancakes with numbers 1-30.

• Students can use the pancake flipper to "cook" the requested number and place on a plate (dice also included).
• Work on number identification by providing a choice of 2,3,or 4 options.
  Place pancakes on the griddle. Students can use the flipper to get / or flip the correct pancake.
• Place the correct pancake number in the pan.
• Use the pancakes to work on number order too!

Graphing - Students can graph either 3 or 5 items. You will need to print and prep the dice prior to graphing activities.

• Graphing mats included in color and BW
• Roll and graph.

Addition -

• Roll a dice (2x), add the pancakes together. Use a griddle to count pancakes you are adding and determine the sum.
• Make 10 cards - Print and laminate these materials for extended use. If students need visual supports they can use an expo marker to fill the 10 frame. How many more were needed to make 10.

Subtraction -

• Word problems with manipulative pancakes and person to feed. Count out the appropriate amount of pancakes, then feed your person to determine the differences.
• BW worksheets - students will cross out when subtracting pancakes. Determine the difference.

6 File Folder Games

File folder games allow students opportunities to learn to through play. Communication and appropriate interactions are important skills they will need throughout life.

This set provides 6 different activities, however they each follow the same general rules, expectations, and idea. I use this with my kiddos that need practice turn taking, losing (students may lose a desired game piece), cooperation, following directions, matching and so much more. The games are easy in nature, however highly addictive for the competitive kids. This allows for opportunities with students in differing abilities.

The themes for the games are:

Fill the Wagon

Make a cake

Buggy Day

Laundry

Moon Walk

Ice Cream

Rules (some differences in games - this example is the Fill the wagon rules).

Contents & Prep:

• Print/Laminate 1 mat per person, use a expo marker to personalize wagons.  Each player will collect their items in their wagon.
• Print and laminate 4 dogs, 4 flowers, 4 ice cream, 4 bubbles, 1 book, 1 leaf pile - place them in the middle of the game board. 
• Print the game board and glue/laminate to a file folder
• Print and prepare dice (or use your own dice)

*For easy storage of game pieces attach an envelope to the back of the file folder prior to lamination.  Make a small slice in the lamination to release the top of the envelope.  Attach velcro to close.  

Object:  Be the first to collect all the items except the leaf pile in your wagon.   If you have the books or the leaf pile and someone else lands on it you have to give it to the other player.  

Choose your player:  Once you have chosen your player, place them on the board any spot will do!

Directions:  

1. Roll the dice and move your player.
2. Collect the pieces as you go and place them in your wagon.   You may only get one of each item!  
3. The first person to collect 1 dog, 1 flower, 1 ice cream, 1 bubble and the books wins!

Are you looking for an easy way to improve student behaviors? This is a fun, easy, print and go activity.

I use the secret missions with my students. Simply print the packet, cut out, and post the missions in your room (be sure to cover each mission with a "secret mission" card".

Then the magic begins. Each morning during your morning meeting time chose a kiddo to uncover a mission. Discuss the mission, the importance of it, what it looks like. I generally have a secret task force who also watches for the behaviors. Then when your children are "caught" they earn a party point/tally/ball (whatever reinforcer you use) for your class. Currently my kids are working to earn hot chocolate with toppings.
