DESCRIPTION

▶️ This is an comprehensive Picture Inference Lesson PACKET that includes at least eight activities where students can practice the skill of social inferencing using pictures that are relevant to this day in age. There are a total of 10 pictures that students will use to make inferences. Students have multiple opportunities to observe a social situation and combine picture clues and their background knowledge to figure out what is happening. Students can make inferences about how the people in the pictures are feeling, what they are doing, what they may be thinking, and what situation they may be in.

▶️ This lesson plan will help students learn how to read, interpret, and think about social situations. ALL pictures are age appropriate as you will not hesitate to use any picture during the learning process. After engaging in multiple inferencing activities, students will have the opportunity to reflect on their understanding of the lesson as well as their participation during the learning process. They can use the provided Reflection Sheets of your choice or their choice!

This Bulletin Board Visual Schedule Set can be used with your whole class or for each individual student in your classroom. Having a daily visual schedule up on the board for students to refer to can be a great strategy to help increase predictability in a student’s day and reduce anxiety.

This Visual Schedule Board set will allow you to have a daily classroom agenda for individual students or your whole class to refer to throughout the day.

If you are teaching in a classroom where students are following different schedules throughout the day, this set is perfect for creating individual visual schedules for each student. I will usually section off a portion of one of my boards in columns large enough to fit the board labels, making sure there is one column for each student. From there, I will have each student’s name at the top, and then their individual schedule below their name.

There is also a “set schedule” label, which prompts students to use the large schedule on the board to follow as they set their own personal visual schedule for the day. • 8 worksheets where students are given monthly bank statements for 2 – 3 people and are asked a variety of questions. (Who spent the most on expenses?, Who had the most income this money? How much did they save each month? Etc.)
• 6 worksheets where students use real-world examples of monthly bank statements for multiple people and saving goals to practice identifying and calculating the amount of money needed for a desired expense (ex. video game or trip) and calculating how much money will need to be saved each month in order to attain the desired expense.

Students will use their learned knowledge of needs, wants, income and expenses to identify these items in monthly Bank Statements/ budgets. Students will practice identifying and calculating the amount of money needed for a desired expense (ex. Teaching students vocational skills is a critical part of a special education / transition to work program. This unit helps students practice job, pre-vocational, and life skills by reading the last name on an envelope and sorting the mail into the correct mailbox.

There are 3 Levels. Level 1 has 6 mail boxes with same color coding. Level 2 has 9 mailboxes with different color coding, and Level 3 has 12 mailboxes with NO color coding. Go Green with this Recycle Sorting Comprehensive Unit, Earth Day Style. This Sort Recycling Comprehensive Unit provides a student with 3 differentiated levels of learning! Level 1 utilized errorless learning for students who need maximum support. In level 2, students are presented with a picture of a recycling item to sort and will choose the correct recycling bin out of 3 choices. Level 3 is for more advanced learners where they are given a recycling scenario in which they need to determine which recycling bin the solution to the scenario goes into.
