Students play in pairs. They play quick games of "pierre, feuille, ciseaux" to see who will be able to move forward a certain number of spaces on the game board.

The following sentences are written in French on the game board, and it’s fun way to get them speaking more French during the game if they say them when they win:

⭐ La feuille enveloppe la pierre.

⭐ Les ciseaux découpent la feuille.

When a student lands on a space, he conjugates and translates the verb written on it using the subject pronoun provided. Winning is easy, as long as you're the first one to reach la fin!

Your students will love practicing their conjugation skills with this quick, fun, and challenging conjugation game. Conjugationland is a fast paced board game that gives students lots of practicing with conjugations. Conjugationland can be played with any type of verb! I use it in all my classes from Spanish I - IV, regular present tense to imperfect subjunctive, anytime we learn a new tense or a new type of verb.

This product comes with:

- Conjugationland game board (originally sized for 13 x 19 paper but can be easily printed to regular 8.5 x 11 copy paper)

- Instruction sheet

- 12 verb conjugation lists (or create your own!)

To play this game, you will need:

How can this product work during the ongoing pandemic?

My students were so excited to learn that we could continue playing this game when we returned to in-person class. We dubbed someone the 'maestro/a' of the game and they were responsible for moving the game pieces and rolling the die. All the game pieces go into a bag for easy disinfecting later. Use print outs of the game board that can be recycled or laminate your game boards so that they can be sanitized! :)

Are you looking for a fun, low-prep game to get your students to practice speaking and listening to vocabulary? "I have, Who has?" is a fun and engaging whole-class game for your Spanish class to practice vocabulary. The vocabulary used on the cards includes survival phrases for Spanish class.

This game includes a zipped file with:

Use the cards on their own or use the game board with the cards. Use this activity to practice for the oral component of the AP Exam. Have students sit in lines in order to facilitate rotation. I suggest you provide students with a time limit (plus a timer). If the students use it as a game they can play in groups, but if you want fast pace answers, I suggest you set up the activity as an actual speed date. The questions involve students stepping out of their comfort zone and really get their practice on!

Quick, easy, and engaging Jeopardy style game to review the present subjunctive (5 categories) and the past (1 category). Some reflexive verbs are included, and some verbs include negation. What to turn your Spanish reading comprehension and listening comprehension into a game?  Using CI to give your students contextualized, comprehensible input?  This Dictado (Dictation) game will motivate, engage and deliver all the CI your students need!  Students will fill work in pairs to fill in a graphic organizer with a story.  Person A must run to the wall to read, and then rush back and tell their partner (Person B) what to write! They are racing their opponents!  This adds interest and a bit of drama to the activity, keeping students fully engaged!

These games are perfect for students to practice speaking for their AP SPANISH LANGUAGE AND CULTURE EXAM.

GAME #1 IS PLAYED LIKE SNAKES AND LADDER. ALL STUDENTS have an opportunity of winning because it's also based on luck!

GAME #2 Has two options. Option 1: Teacher can print a copy for each group and they use a dice (the old school way, that works amazingly too), or

OPTION 2: Students can play online using my secret link. If students play online only one person needs to have it up on their computer and it is more of an interactive way!

Your French students will have some fun practicing the passé composé with avoir as you teach them with a fun, hands on activity. This low prep French grammar game is a fun way to encourage your students to keep up with the grammar they learn.

Quel Dommage games add a little competition and fun to grammar. Students will also practice speaking and pronunciation! Detailed instructions are included so that your students can play even when you need to be away and a sub has your class.

Here's how the QUEL DOMMAGE game works:

STEP 1

• Print the game cards on heavy paper or card stock and cut them out.
• Laminate the cards

STEP 2

• Put all of the game pieces in a box and divide your students into small teams.
• Give each team gets a box of questions and a copy of the answer key.
• Students must replace the underlined words in the sentences with pronouns (for example) and say the sentence correctly. When they are correct, they get to keep their game card. However, when they draw a QUEL DOMMAGE card they have to put all of their game cards back in the box.
• The student with the most game cards at the end is the winner.

What to turn your Spanish reading comprehension or grammar review into a game?  Using CI to give your students contextualized, comprehensible input?  These reading passages will motivate, engage and deliver all the CI your students need!  

The 1st reading is about how to live a healthy lifestyle. It’s perfect for themes about health, diet and exercise.  Working in groups helps reduce anxiety about answering questions while at the same time allows students to share their reading strategies with others.  The teacher has comprehension questions about the reading (with answers included) so that each set of students has a chance to answer multiple questions.  

Reading 2 is about a teen who convinces her parents to let her have a pet.  Reading 3 is a conversation between 2 teens about an upcoming concert. These themes are taken from the published list of topics from ACTFL that students encounter on the AAPPL Test.

This reading is meant for Intermediate Low students.  Comprehension questions are written in Spanish and answers are included. Any part of this resource can be customized for your students if needed!  Also included are teacher notes and ideas for how to turn the reading passages into a game!
